Concrete stairs are too short!
I coulnd't get the hang on how to use the concrete stairs as they were always not aligned with either a floor or the relative upper one. The metal rail below them was always protruding in either side, looking like crap.
After several tries I realised that the stairs might not be the best option to decide how high a floor is intended to be, there is a better solution, which is the elevator.
So I went to my elevator and place a concrete stair directly snapping on it, and the concrete stair was in fact too short and not aligned with the lower floor, which is again aligned with the lower level of the elevator.
In other words, either the concrete stair is too short (even adding a small concrete star after it, which would look still bad), or the elevator is too high.
Bethesda, WTF?? You can't even make stairs and elevators even?? I'm astonished by your incompetence.

(smaller concrete stair is snapped at bigger one, and it still looks floating)

The factory peices (elevator included) are taller than normal. Most peices fit in with the sizes of the standard wooden shack peices. Try the metal stairs in the factory set.

And the barn pieces are on the same scale as the factory pieces. The barn and factory sections also include their own stairs, which match the barn/elevator/factory section heights.

There are some times that extra height is convenient; I'm pretty fond of using the concrete barn foundation to build over uneven terrain because it's taller than regular foundations, allowing it to neatly cover steeper inclines.

Those fit, but look totally awful by themselves.
I still think that Bethesda ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.

Yeah, you're not alone there. The inconsistencies really bug me too.

I don't think they'd miss that when designing a new section, especially since they would have had to "accidentally" make all the new pieces fit with each other.

I wouldn't be surprised if they found out they needed more vertical space for things like the elevators, or wanted it to match with something else (the taller height matches more closesly to some of the buildings at various settlement sites).

Even not using the elevator, only using the concrete parts walls/floors/stairs to have the stair aligned you would have to have walls that are a "half" shorter they are overllaping like this:

If you don't do concrete walls overlap, again you have the concrete stairs with the metal bar protruding either above or below.

And this prevents you to use both elevators and stairs in the same building, that I was doing as it makes sense in a roleplay/game immersion point of view, where I have generators in the basement and I want to still be able to reach them in case of they shut down.

And you can't see it in the screenshot, but by making concrete floors overlap, they flicker, a lot.

I have noticed this too I just attach a shorter stair to them and have an ugly set of stairs

Also, if you want to use an elevator in your building, which would make so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sense since they actually made it, you end up with at least 2 of the 4 side of your building with a gap like this (top right):

In other words, you can either have only concrete stairs that are too short for concrete only building, or mix concrete and elevator and have a stupid gap due to the walls being uneven.
BETHESDA GO ♥♥♥♥ YOURSELF AND PLEASE DIE, YOU ARE TOO STUPID TO EXISTS.
And suddently I don't feel like playing anymore.

Says the guy using differant types of kits and then compaining they don't work lol.
Not all kits are compatable. It's obvious enough.

I don't argue with trolls because it's pointless, I just say that kits should be compatible.
That's the point of the game.
Now starve to death.

The point of the game isn't to have compatible kits lol.
Many of the kits have differant snap points, elevations, sinking zones and much more.

If all the kits could snap togeather perfectly it would be pointless having differant kits as they would all be the same.

And that's a good point, I need to have lunch in the next few hours.
Ty for the reminder :)
