WARNING :Clean snd Smooth mods will corrupt your game files.

Hiya.
Clean and smooth Sanctuary, Red rocket, and ESPECIALLY the SLOG clean snd smooth will break your game.

After uninstalling mods the game files will remain corrupted and you will need to re-download fallout 4 to repair them. Validating game files will only re-download the config files.

Medford medical hospital will have clipping issues, where all of the sudden the entire wing of the building will disappear.

Later on in the game you will also get the bug the bethesda patch fixed about crashing around the CIT building, and in the bunker hill area.

Missions involving Dogmeat will have corrupted saves. (calls him just Dog, and he will become unresponsive at any random point in the game.

Missions where you send people to sanctuary or red rocket, will also hang. Sending people to those settlements will result in the people remaining in the original settlement, in Limbo.

Not to mention that the NPC's from the settlements are all broken. You can not assign them to certain tasks, and durring hostage rescue messions they will not trade gear with you.

For such a popular mod series I am suprised more people are not complaining about their games getting completely ruined.

I guess i can agree, my friend aswell told me to not download those mods, he got whole arenas of the game instantly crash on him after installing those mods.

i been using spring cleaning homemaker scrap all mods for a long while now no issues for me ya might have mods thats conflicting with em

Dunno which mod (I don't have any of these) but I have broken game now too... no voices, only sometimes protagonist says the first phrase and then they just move their mouths and no sound. Seems I would need to delete all and install from zero. No solutions found in Discussion helped, trying to solve it for two weeks now, close to giving up. -.-

i experienced this too. too bad i didnt catch this thread before. dogmeat wouldnt respond at all upon initial meeting. :( reinstalling

You have probably installed a mod that requires Fallout 4 script extender: http://f4se.silverlock.org/.

I have a lot of mods loaded, several of which require this file. I have had the same issue when I accidentally loaded Fallout 4 instead of Fallout 4 SE.

All you do is install FO4SE to the same place as Fallout (it should auto-detect the installation location), and launch that instead of FO4 in order to play the game.

Thanks, next time I'll play Fallout 4 and get this issue, I'll try to reinstall Script Extender and see if that will help. :)

I did run through SE, just later from one point in time it bugged and corrupted the whole game (older saves didn't have voice sound either).
