Why does a bottle of water weigh the same as an empty bottle?

Can anyone tell me what the in-universe reason is that a bottle filled with water weighs exactly the same as an empty bottle? I mean in real life the water inside a bottle makes of the majority of the weight of a water bottle so it makes no sense that it would be the same.

If It bothers you then just change it according to real life volumes of water vs the empty surface of a plastic bottle that would contain it.
