Melee Only Power Armor (Knight) Build on Survival.
This is a build I've always wanted to try since Fallout 3. There seems to be quite a few supporting perks for a melee/unarmed only build and I wanted to turn to the Internet for this specific one I had in mind. The S.P.E.C.I.A.L. point lay-out I had in mind rather hinges on having 9 Intelligence and I was looking for opinions as to whether or not this was a bad idea before investing. The plan being to pump as many points into Nuclear Physicist as possible so that Fusion Cores for Power Armor would last longer. Beyond that and Science Perk I don't see very much point into putting points into Intelligence for this build. Nor do I see a point in putting points into Agility or Perception as the rest of my points would, of course, go soley into Strength and Endurance.
More specifically the exact best I could come up with, given the starting 21 points, was 7 Strength, 1 Perception, 8 Endurance, 1 Charisma, 9 Intelligence, 1 Agility, and 1 Luck. Compared to the current Stealth build I'm running, this build seems a lot more focused rather than spread out and that kind of worries me. Particularly concerning Luck. All in all, my end goal is to be a chivalrous bad ass, boasting Big Leagues, Black Smith, Armorer, Strong Back, Rooted, Pain Train, Toughness, Lifegiver, Adamantium Skeleton, Solar Powered \`[T] /, Medic, Science, and Nuclear Physicist. Sporting, of course, a Super Sledge and X-01 Power Armor. I'm sure Luck and Agility will come more into play with Blood Mess, Better Criticals, Action Boy, Moving Target, maybe Ricochet, and I hear that Idiot Savante is actually useful with 10 Intelligence on the off chance it pops off of a quest.
Feel free to share any ideas for any other builds that you find ridiculously powerful or just make the Wasteland that much more fun of a place to live in, in general!

Check out MajorSlack. He did a Power Armor/Melee/Comando build. The second vid in his series explains his build and the perks he took. This might give you an idea.

He too does 1 CHA and wears a business suit, drinks beer and takes grape mentats for trading. So this fits your style.

The combination of Melee and Comando is fairly compatible. Get Spray n Pray and the game is easy.

You only need 8 in INT since the bobble head is easily retrieved and you really don't need power armor early in the game since until you can trade Fusion Cores they will be in short supply.

He has a good tutorial. The 30 hubflower run before leaving Sanctuary is worth the watch by itself for anyone that goes low CHA and relies upon grape mentats to boost trading.

Here is vid 2 with his explaniation of perks he took.

Edit: I've played a very similar build to this and it is very viable. Get the 2076 World Series Bat and send Deathclaws flying can be a lot of fun. Pain Train is very handy for stunning enemies before you lay the lumber to them.

Unless you plan on using vats often luck won't really be very useful.

Thanks, bud! I think I would favor smacking things with a giant Tazer Hammer outside of V.A.T.S.

Low perception won't let you pick energy resist perk and agi can help with blitz.
