Got mods? You only have 7.9 hours and and 4 Achievements, so I'm guessing you don't have mods installed.
Have you made any .ini changes to anything concerning your character, like carry weight for example?
If you're used to FO3 or NV, jumping height may be different in this game. Been a while since I played those games.
Dumb question. Is your space bar soft or sticking?
This won't help with your problem but, you will find Power Armor that you can add a jump jetpack to at any Power Armor station. If I remember right, you might need a perk to add the jetpack. It will allow you to jet up to higher roofs and bridges with a limited distance and time for each jump you make.
Had once a playthru where my player was somehow stuck in Sneak speed and hight (was half in the floor all the time) that fixed that without issues (besides you have to requip your Clothing)
That's from running your FPS above 60. Get the High FPS Physics Fix which will cure it to some extent.
Follow up... I can jump if I unplug my controller and use the space bar.
I can jump if I remap the jump button to another button. And then the Y button doesn't work on the reload which is where I swapped the jump.
I know it isn't the button because I can jump normally in the build mode. IF it is the FPS that is just F*cked up that it is also tied to the button.
Don't know about any of that. All I know is that inability to jump due to high FPS is one of the things that was corrected in High FPS Physics Fix. Used to piss me off I couldn't jump up to get the loot in the Concord utility tunnels anymore when I got a 75hz monitor.
If it's because of the button on your controller, well ... not much I can do for you.
I guess I am just posting this for future people having problems to move jump to another button to test if it is the FPS problem.
Personally I switched the jump button with the grenade button and will just not use grenades. Or remap the button on the fly if I really need them.
