Wouldn't be the first time that mod has disappeared though. Some mod authors take their mods down to release updates and stuff. Some are divas that get annoyed by stupid inconsequential things and throw temper tantrums. Some mods have weird errors that don't start causing trouble for a long time and then the mods get taken down because the authors don't want anyone else using their broken mod until they fix it.
The author would have to post why they removed it somewhere for anyone to know for sure.
Edit: Or they just feel as though the mod needs better tweaking or whatnot.
I'd say it's more that modders need the patience of a saint to stay. The community is changing for the worse, now it includes console kids expecting everything to work out of the box, and pc players getting that way too.
There's only so much stupidity anyone can withstand before they give up, especially when they're contributing their time for free.
Your information is about 8 months out of date.
Which is exactly why they're divas. This is the internet. People say things that other people don't like. If you can't deal with that fact, then you're free to not subject yourself to other people's opinions and demands by not using the platform.
Feels more like you expect way too much of modders than them actually being divas.
No, between the base game/DLCs and Homemaker I don't think Snap N Build had anything unique in it any more, which is why I would guess it was removed. It may have even been an issue of the mod providing DLC content for people without the DLC and the mod author not caring enough to remove that.
I'm betting it was this more than anything else.
did it have other building pieces besides the greenhouses, bunkers, brick buildings? I'm genuinely wondering out of curiosity because all of the snap n build mods I saw on the nexus were the same buildings that homemaker consists of.
SNB has what you mentioned and Industrial.
I have both and there is minimal overlap.
Not sure if it's "5%" or whatever, but there are at least 3 menus full of stuff that are not in the other mod and vice versa.
Homemaker has: Greenhouses, Bunkers, and Brick, plus 4 other sets.
The industrial set was added to the game with a DLC. So the only one missing is the pod set.
Just for the info, I'm the actual Snap and Build author XD And I'm preaty sure you haven't used my mod. So stop telling me what my mod had and what not =) Just for clarification, 90% of stuff in my mod was custom or manually edited stuff ( and by "edited" I mean not only adding snap points, 3D editing also).
Ok, just out of curiosity if you don't mind sharing, why did you remove your mod? I have it and it's great.
