(I apologise for the distant lods in advance, especially in the shot facing the town...)
You know that this is actually piracy, right...? And, that posting this on a public forum is perhaps not the best idea.....
And just out of curiosity, is there a common reason that companions vanish? I notice that it's only a problem with them and not regular NPC's.
but back to my original question my pipboy issue. in 1st and 3rd person its gone. but when i press (B) on my controller to activate it its there and i can navigate it. when i close the pipboy interface it disappears from my arm, does not show up in my inventory. but i can still use the light in 3rd person. i have checked the integrity of the game files they are intact. i have deleted all saves and started fresh. funny thing here. when i pick up the pipby and put it on initially, i see it. its there in 3rd person mode and 1st as well. i can use it. but, when i go up the elevator to the commonwealth, the animation where i shield my face from the sun, the pip boy is gone. i can activate it, but i see nothing. i hear all the sounds it makes as you navigate the pipboy but the whole thing is invisible. i have player.additem player.equipitem just to get it back. butwhen i do it remains invisible until i open it. from this point on i it disappears when it is closed and you are wandering. but when you open the pipboy to check the map, or you inventory ect i can see it. im stuck on this i have tried literally everything to fix this this aside from a clean install
They don't have a hand in the pricing policy. The prices are determined by the publishers.
That a price is justified or not is a matter of debate. Still, don't aim your arrows to the wrong people :)
Yes, I have the GOTY FO4 edition and I paid about $17 for it. How many hours of watching a movie would that $17 buy me? Lotsa fun, these fps games. And I'm now liking the open world stuff too.
Fallout: London v1.03 Patch
We're excited to share some news about the upcoming v1.03 patch for Fallout: London! What started as a simple hotfix has grown into something much bigger. Given the scope of this update, we're aware it may make changes that impact save files, so rather than risking breaking things for a small update, we're looking to roll this into a part of our very first DLC! This DLC will feature both new content and previously cut content that we’re working hard to restore. Stay tuned for more details - big things are on the way!
You can check out the full patch list here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qTHHRBjaKituLhWsOBQtYsH1oXkZQljkQNaiHTyfNRY/edit?usp=sharing
Sooo, Falon is getting a DLC. That's pretty cool
the fact of the matter is when a consumer purchases a product and has recieved it. it is his property to do with as he pleases. if he decides to "give" his purchase away, the recieving party is not guilty of theft or in the case of software piracy. you seriously need to look up and fully read american buisness law. im angry with you cause you acused me of a crime when no crime was committed and gave me a warning for breaking forum rules when i did not.
I sort of remember that glitch Ny, but it's been quite a few years. Start a thread and post your load order. I need to stir up a few snoozing brain cells to get back in FO4 mode. It is a bit of a gray area the way you were gifted the DLCs, but it might just be the way it was worded.
I did a little research and there is a workaround that is kind of an interesting blessing in disguise. The pip boy is totally usable when you open it, but invisible in third person when you run around. I kind of like that.
Anyway, two simple console commands to fix it 'almost'
player.additem 00021b3b <enter>
player.equipitem 00021b3b <enter>
That's it, you have a working pipboy again, but you only see it when you want to... a win win. Other people have said the bug tracks back to the game still thinking you're wearing power armor (that sounds familiar) People have actually fixed it by entering power armor and exiting again then popping back and forth between first and third person. This is a known game glitch. each google for the error and several refrenses and even a couple of videos pop up. Try the console commands first. It's a simple fix
Uninstalling all mods and installing them one by one is one of the few "surefire" ways of sorting this, especially given other people will not know of any edits you have made yourself, but as you don't want to go to those lengths, i can advise of little....
Given you were using... uhhh.. those DLC's you "got hold of"... have you made sure all traces of them are gone?
Anyway, If i got this right, the Pipboy isn't showing on your arm, in either 1st or 3rd, but is showing when you open the menu? (and it is showing, right? the actual Pipboy model, and not just the text as if it were there?)
I did think that perhaps a Mesh and retex of the Pipboy would fix this, but then you say this;
which then throws my original thought into the wind......
Im not sure what else i can suggest.... Actually! does it do this if you start somewhere else? (if your using Start Me Up Redux or another quick start mod)
Start say, at the lonely chapel or something, and that *might* bypass this issue. Then you'd know its something that affects the start, and that reduces the mods that could be the culprit...
