i forgot to metion that i can select all of my avalible companions but even when i select the all compaions options only ada is tracked witch is weird because preston is in the same settlement it might have something to do with the mods i have install but there is nothing i have installed that edits the vault tec expantion
run the console command after load your game "SetQuestAliases DLC06CompanionTracker"
Same problem except it doesn't show any companions, including Ada. I do have UFO4P installed.
I ran ShowQuestAliases first and it listed all my current companions. I then ran the command you suggested and it said "succeeded" but it didn't fix the problem. Restarting the game didn't help. Scrapping the terminal and rebuilding didn't help.
Is there a command to "unset" the aliases I could use before trying the command again?
-- Note stage 200 is complete (otherwise some 101 thru 119 or somethings depending on the companions you were looking for prior).
ShowQuestAliases DLC06CompanionTracker
-- All will show "none" if screwed up, this is the issue.
So then...
ResetQuest DLC06CompanionTracker
-- Clears out (all stage = 0 now)
SetQuestAliases DLC06CompanionTracker
-- Repopulates the companion list, must be done the list was lost somehow.
Now use the Vault-Tec terminal to restart the quest, that should get the quest restarted and back on the pipboy if not there now. - The last two command statements I do not remember the order may have to do 4 before 3?
Resetting the quest is going to re-use the same broken aliases.
Resetting the aliases and then the quests should be the correct order?
Honestly though, if you are going to do that much console work it is easier to just grab them with a moveto. Moving to them may also give an indication of where and why they are stuck somewhere.
ClearQuestAliases DLC06CompanionTracker
SetQuestAliases DLC06CompanionTracker
you can verify by using the command
ShowQuestAliases DLC06CompanionTracker
I can confirm I've just run this and it has worked perfectly - all companions are now trackable again. Many thanks NiftyPower!
