Longneck Lukowiski's Cannery Key help
Ok so just finished the quest here and recieve the key... now what? I went to the roof through the ground floor and now re running the basement. Looked it up on the wiki and all I get is "it opens a door".... 'kay....where the freak is this door then? :(


Please help.

I was at the cannery a few hours ago, and as I recall it was easy to find. I climbed some stairs and got to the door to the roof without any problem. Maybe I'll start the game now and write down some detailed directions. BRB.

Sorry, I was thinking about a different place: the fish packing plant. Anyway, I don't remember doing this one before. Completed the whole thing and didn't find the key, or a door it opens. Sorry..

most of the locations have a master or key locked exit door that leads back to where you started or another side of the building, the key is ussually for that

key opens a big round vertical grating, it's BIG how did u miss it? OR, elevator to the basement. There is a locked door.

ah ok I guess I didn't look about the basement close enough lol. And as far as the vertical grates do you mean the ones you can open with the buttons? If not i'm apparently completely blind. :P

I suspect Xyzzy was being ironic: I've gone over the place with a fine-tooth comb and am practically certain that there is no "big round vertical grating" (I assume in the ceiling) which opens with the key.

I think some of those keys were implemented because various buildings' entrance doors were locking themselves, and you needed a key to open them.

Some locations are locked (at least partially) and don't really have a key until you've started the appropriate quest... some of them are main quest, others are companion quests.

yes those, oh its button yes. btw some keys (or doors or terminals) don't function correctly if you're just visiting or u don't have its quest 'Mystery Meat' selected in pipboy. Maybe this quest comes from Rylee and u gotta see her b4 beginning it..

I walked into the building and talked to the guy and got the quest. So I guess you can recieve it two different ways. And apparently when you finish the quest is when you get the key...guess its a troll move? lol Or maybe it's just something i have to give to an NPC like Rylee....who knows I'll try and report back. o7

lol that was the last place i checked and no dice, I guess it's just one of the mysteries of the Commonwealth :P
