Too bad the factory becomes offline. I wanted to make my own legion of robots
Thanks for sharing your story. The above made me LOL tho, hehehe
Recenty, I ran thru this mission in very hard mode and discovered that before you get to the last fight with the Mech, you can actually target and destroy the robots on the overhead conveyors. This will reduce the number you will need to face in the last battle. Also, I set up on one of the stair landings, and dropped land mines at all of the stairway entries, plus others on the upper landings. Only the eyebots can get past those.
Hope that helps.
robotics perk
Profit
The Mechanist says "My robots would rather die than serve you!" or something like that and cancels out whatever you did during the hack.
It's also drawn out (or seems to be) by how readily you can drop the robots sent against you, so if you're running about on the walkways trying to stay alive, you're also likely to be facing more electrical attacks and bombs.
I think it's good that they realized the potential difficulty of the fight and included another option, even if it's not all that obvious (being right near the start, while the required tapes are spread through the entire facility).
Well, you can, you just have to make them one by one with the robot workbench. My main objection on that front is that there isn't a way to make multiple robots from a single design, so you have to select pieces over and over again.
They should have included an option to set your current robot design as the default (in place of the usual stripped-down protectron) so that you could quickly assemble your preferred robots if you have the materials.
I guess I want an ending where the sole survival goes nuts and conquers the commonwealth with robots.
You can hack them and shut them down.
As long as you are not wearing the helmet. If you wear a helmet when you zone in then the Mechanist wins.
Happened to me and it ruined the dlc since I was hyped up fighting the monster on survival. Still love my protection tho.
I did that too however its doesnt have the same feel as having a bunch of robots out on patrol similar to what the mechNist was doing.
