what is with invincible hosts

i just started invading to get my 30 vertebra shackles 2 down 28 to go. Was wondering why i consistently bump into players who are invincible its relatively common what is the motivation for the players who do this. Assuming its just a popular hack or am i just missing something.

I remember there being really egregious case of where latency made it impossible to damage players, even though it looked like they must have received a hit. But according to your description, it sounds more like you ran into cheaters.

No idea what the motivation behind that is. Not being able to live a power fantasy maybe? Not wanting "your playthrough" interrupted? Who knows, really.
