Basilisks ruin the series for me and literally cause me anxiety attacks
Sounds stupid but I easily get freaked out by their giant "eyes" and weird bodies, and the way they move. So far I've only managed to get through all of the first game, but ever since I fell in that hole in the Depths I've just been terrified of dealing with these things. And no it's nothing to do with the curse ♥♥♥♥ or how "difficult" they are to kill. Is anyone else in the same boat as me? I am literally too afraid to progress past the swamp area.

Aren't the screaming giant babies a thousand times worse?

I haven't heard about anyone with your dislike of Basilisks but DS2 has an area full of spiders and I have seen people get freaked out by that to the point that they quit playing the game.

IIRC there are really only 2 areas with basilisks (curse frogs) in DS3 and they can be avoided for the most part.

If it says something I've finished the first three Silent Hill games multiple times no problem, yet I can't even glance at these things without feeling uneasy.

Wiki DS3 basilisks and just avoid the areas where they exist. In one area they protect some magic items and another a ring of some type. Neither is essential.

Yeah, I feel you, man, but they don't exist in real life. That's good to know, lol.

I guess you better stay away from Bloodborne if these little frogs are too much for you to deal with

Lolol

Yeah, Bloodborne‘s creatures look somewhat more disturbing than basilisks. I actually think they look funny lol. They die easily too.

This is what one of the enemies sings when you're near. Don't read about them, or look at them like what I did there? Lol just enjoy the nice singing :)

I can feel that, especially the first game actually removes half your health, and that always terrified me, I guess for people who have played other Ds than DS Remastered wouldnt worry as much as the people who played ds remaster, but the funny part for me is that I actually used to run away from them in this game as quick as possible, until I got cursed and found out all they do is just kill and not actually remove half your health permanently. thats how some of my fear went, but if u honestly see most of it is in areas that are not required to go, unless u want to collect all the items.. If u just progress the game like ng+ or so u can totally skip them since most of the items are collected from them

If there is a thing that freak me out in DS is the Ash Lake

Basalisks are a bit unbalanced in Ds3, but not what I would call unmanagable. They tank far too much damage in this game for no given reason, on top of swarming you.
