Hope this was at least some help in the interim if you can't afford any upgrades to your computer.
"HI People !
For those who got SSD drives AND bugs/framedrops
(NOTE : you probably might be doing that even if you got no pblm)
i strongly recommand to follow this guide :
www.maketecheasier.com/12-things-you-must-do-when-running-a-solid-state-drive-in-windows-7/
After setting up windows (can't confirm myself but it seems to be working on all versions since win7, so might be the same steps for win8 and win10), by following the steps described in the article, DS3 actually runs like he was doing before those garbage patches, constant 55/60 fps with some minor drops under 50, but nothing compared to the permanent less than 25fps with drops under 1 fps (game was freezing) and datas corruptions.
You should run your drive in AHCI mode even if they are SATA HDD, performances should be notably increased
(see the article for "how-to" if you installed windows in IDE mode and wanna change to AHCI, you have to set it up in windows before donig it in the BIOS if you want your drives to be recognize when pc boot).
I also recommand turning the game settings to "Low"
and that part is really important :
- DoF and Motion Blur :OFF
- Lignthning Quality :OFF
- Anti-aliasing : OFF
- Auto Detect best rendering settings : OFF
Last but not least, you should also try to set up the Game resolution lower than the Default/Max of your monitor, for example your monitor is 1920/1080, try 1260/720
On that part you should be following this guide for further details and more tips :

Check this link too (it might be of some interest for those who encounters stuttering in menu and crashes near bonfires but not only) :

I also recommand tools like "borderless gaming" and "souls unsqueezed" tools :

So i think with all that things done you should probably be able to play the game like it was supposed to do...Hope after that most of you will be able able to spend some cool time in this great game (but coded by lazy people)
!!!!! PRAISE THE SUN !!!!!"
