How to make Sunlight Spear do a big damage

i need help in making my Sunlight Spear in a big damage
what things do i need to make its damage strong

First of all lightning spears lose a lot of damage by range. Use them at close range.
Second get Morne's Ring, Ring of the Sun's Firstborn and Lightning Clutch rings.

Get canvas talisman, miracle boosting rings, 60 faith and poise cast sunlight spear when they go in for a hit.Use yorshka’s chime for lightning arrow and when you dont go for a trade cause it has better spellbuff.

I mean if you want a glass cannon build then you get Red Tearstone Ring, Morion Blade and Dragon buff. Also hardcap your faith.

60 faith, morne's ring, ring of the sun's first born, hit at point blank because that's where the second hitbox is. bam 1100 damage.

Sunlight spear does significantly increased damage at point-blank range. I think it hits twice, once when it fires off, and once when the projectile hits.

What kinda damage are you getting now? I can one shot just about everything from a distance.

High faith, upgraded chime and as mentioned the rings

Have you heard of Straight sword spell + medium shield spell, they will out perform that garbage spell and and faith build
