Report a translation problem
As far as the story goes, well most people who played through all three games are still in the dark about the story. This game doesn't tell you anything about the world or what is going on, save the opening cutscene. If you want to figure it out you have to look for it, or just watch a video on youtube.
DS1 lays a good foundation for story and gameplay since Parrying is extremely easy.....
Then DS3 tears it away and makes you reconsider life choices.

Just to clarify this game is not a horror game (though it still scares me sometimes). Its just unforgiving in the sense that you die in three hits, and so does almost everything else. This game is entirely skill based.
I would say DS3 is harder because of the sheer aggressiveness of some of the enemies that you just did not see in the first two games. Stat-wise Ds1 could be considered the most unforgiving though.
