Why do People Point Down?
I know it's kind of a insult or something like that but why does the most player do that?
I am a pretty fair player with little experience in PVP. I dont know why people get mad and point down

It means nothing. Its so randomly used that you can forget about it.
An example;
A host summons me to kill an Invader.. i killed that Dark Spirit in few Seconds... Host uses Crystal to send me away and Points down on me.
So randomly used.

Basically a means of saying 'stay down' or 'you're below me'. Constantly used because some people apparently need that to feel better about their life. Maybe this is the only thing they're good at? Who knows.I generally use it on an invader that tried to taunt, only for him to die later on.

It's just one of those things people do to try and piss you off.

It's not about being mad, it's about sending a message. It reads as such:

Git Gud Casul.

They want to show where you are... a bloodstain from a casual on the ground.

Basically just in insult/taunt. Pretty much the opposite of how some players will bow after a fight.

The real reason? Because the Dark souls community is toxic as ♥♥♥♥. They think its cool to be arrogant, dismissive, and generally mean because the game is "hard" and they're sooooo good because they beat it. Which is ironic because the souls games are really not hard at all. Once you get past the initial learning period, they're really quite easy. I can generally get through the entirely of ds3 without dying more than maybe 2 or 3 times. Not because I'm great at the game; just because I know the bosses and levels and ♥♥♥♥.

Look at true invader up there. He's acting like an edgy 14 year old, jerking himself off because he beat someone at a video game. I bet he points down after every fight he wins.

The irony here is that its so overused that it has lost all meaning. When I see someone point down it conjures images of "hard core" white kids with katanas they bought on ebay, edging out some shallow feeling of accomplishment and power before they have to go back to school and get bullied.

I only do it if the guy I killed did something disrespectful or unsportsmanlike towards me or an ally. I also do it if they chug and clearly see that I don't despite losing a lot of HP. Otherwise, I always wave at the start and bow after the battle.

Most do it because people get salty about being pointed down. It is something like an overkill, after killing someone in DS3 you can also damage people who have weak minds with an ingame gesture, which is a powerful ability you kinda don't want to miss.

So.... why, exactly, do you WANT to 'damage people who have weak minds'? If you beat someone in a face-to-face game of chess, would you spit in their face and taunt them with your victory? Only a complete dirtbag would do that. So why do it here?

This. I've spent many, many hours playing League of Legends, which has a reputation for having a toxic playerbase. DS3's level of toxicity blows LoL clear out of the water; and I think it is primarily because DS3's design fosters an elitist attitude, and rarely rewards courtesy.

The game is still hard, though. It's fashionable to say that DS isn't 'hard', you just need to learn the pattern. Well, your first time through you're still going to die a lot, and you'll need to put a lot of effort in in order to learn how to get through. In any other game, that would be called 'hard'. Dark Souls strives to be FAIR, and CONSISTENT, but just because you've learned the Dancer's moveset and can kill her at SL 1 now doesn't erase the 30 deaths you suffered your first time through trying to kill her. Taking her down that first time was still 'hard.'
