Ring of Favor and Prisoner's chain questions...
So i feel like i'm forced to use those rings because they're just too good at how much benefits they bring. They both raise Vigor, Endurance and Vitality by a considerable amount that i feel like i'm gimping myself by not using them... And since i have the DLC's i have the Ring of Favor +3 version which seems so OP.

So, since i started leveling past the meta to the end meta (351 or whatever), i wonder, is there any point to those rings anymore?

Ring of Favor is a % based increase, but Prisoner's chain is basically 15 free levels...

Is there any point in the leveling process where those give diminishing returns so i can equip something else instead?

I'm mainly wearing them for Vitality now since this run i'm doing a regeneration tank type character. Blessed Lothric Knight Greatsword (surprisingly good weapon, who knew...), Ethereal Oak shield, and full Millwood Knight armor.

Rings: Ring of Favor +3, Prisoner's chain, Sun Princess ring and Havel's ring +3

Since i still don't have enough VIT to carry all that weight without the rings, i basically need to use Havel's and probably one of the 2 rings in question. And i could use a Chloranty ring +3 instead, but how much would i lose by swapping both of them, or one of them for something else? And what else could i use instead for a regeneration tank build?

prisoner's chain is borderline useless past sl100, since the hit to absorption will be larger than the health gained
use life+3 instead

Thank you! That's what i needed to hear! Though, for now i kinda have to because i fatroll wolithout it but as soon as i level VIT enough to go below 70% i'll exchange it.

What about the Ring of Favor +3?
Do i keep that one?

favor is good

Ring of favor is for higher SLs, prisoner chain more useful for lower SLs.

yes, that one only GROWS in power as you add more and more levels to the three stats it affects. They're % based, and enhance what you already have rather then adding to the base as a PC does.
tbh i feel like the prisoner's chain is still useful so long as it doesn't make you go over 40 vig/end, regardless of SL. Specially when paired with the ring of favor+3.

You are sacrificing a whole ring slot for it though. Good if you intend to stay at a specific SL and would rather allocate those 15 stats somewhere else. Not good if you just keep leveling up past that.

its purpose is mostly for stat starved builds, as mentioned above.
it's also really good for twinks since it affords them more points in vig
I mean idk it seems like all my builds have a ring slot open for the untrue dark ring, so unless you're a dedicated caster i feel like people can spare it.

Yeah, look at things on mugenmonkey. At about ~30-35 raw stats the PC starts evening up with then falling behind RoF+3, because RoF adds percentages whereas PC starts hitting soft caps, and RoF doesn't have the absorption hit. I started seeing the difference that defense hit makes when I started getting hit with big split damage. Dropped it my first fight against Storm King.

That's what i thought. Since it's % based, the more i have, the more % bonus is. I'll keep it then. Thanks!

Yes, it seems better at lower levels. I'm at 50 VIG right now and that 5 VIG bonus isn't doing much for me, i tried taking it off, the health bonus is laughable. However, after taking it off, i'm at 71.something% equip load (that's with Havel's +3), so for the time being, until i level up a few more VIT points, i'll keep it on.

Oohh, twinks definitely love that ring. At really low SL, this ring is definitely a beast because it doesn't raise your SL. 15 free levels at SL15 definitely has more impact than at SL200.

My (non caster) builds so far have all had a Ring of Favor, Prisoner's, Chloranty +3 and some other utility. One slot was always for ulitty, like, fire defense if i fight a fire boss or something. Not needed that much but hey...

And now since i tanked it up with fashion souls, Millwood Knight set, i have to wear all the VIT boosting gear until i can level up enough VIT to wear it without the rings.

The absorption drop definitely starts to outweigh the life gain at higher levels. I'll be glad to get rid of it once i level VIT a few more times.
