Tales of Phantasia
Not that I have high hopes for any decent Tales of ports now, but I'd still love to see the others turn up in some form. Phantasia, please? I mean, fix Symphonia first (you jerks), but then Phantasia, 'kay? 'Kay.

Although, since Symphonia PC has terrible and super-unprofessional spelling and grammatical errors (seriously, what the hell?) despite having had various English releases previously, I shudder to think what Phantasia, with its comparatively limited release outside of Japan, would end up with. Anything's better than the GBA version, though... The epic war at the end of the world: Kangaroo. :steamfacepalm:

They did have an official English version made of the PS1 version of the game for iOS (with the worst microtransactions in history). It worked the same way as the translation project version of the game (with JP voices & english subs in battles). They'd likely use that version if they made a PC port, though I'd personally would want the PSP's X version of the game with the extra content.

I would really want Eternia or Destiny of the 2D games though.

I don't play games on mobile phones and such, so I've not played that other English localisation. Anyway, yeah, the PSP version would be awesome. I hope they'll pop that on Steam at some point and actually make some effort when they do.

This. Phantasia is my favorite game, and I'd LOVE to be able to play the X version in a language I can understand. It's the definitive version!

Phantasia PSX got an unoficial fan translation that is perfect but the only version westerners got was the horrible GBA version. (I didnt know about iOS version but who plays action jrpg on mobile ?!)

The best version is PSP full voice edition btw (but no translations at all)

After the flop of ToS, I really doubt that they will try to port any older "Tales of" now (Is that a bad thing when you see how they handled it ?...)

Bad reputation and probably 0 sales. Most of users got this game for free.

I don't want unofficial fan versions, but yeah, I hope they don't stop porting the Tales of series to PC because of the reaction to Symphonia. I reckon it'll be something like this:

1. Namco decide to bring Tales of games to PC.
2. Namco release crap ports.
3. Nobody buys the ports because they're crap.
4. Namco stop bringing Tales of games to PC because the crap ports aren't selling.

I'd rather they make some effort and get the series on Steam in decent quality. Y'know, actually acting as a proper real-world company that's staffed by intelligent adult humans.

Is there a reason why you prefer the PSP Full Voice Edition (2006) over the PSP ToPX version (2010)? ToPX has a lot more content, and they finally removed the in-battle freeze when casting spells.

I don't think many people understand the difference. We just want the definitive version.

Anything Full Voice Edition has is included in the Cross Edition and much more, I believe. Some people might not know about Cross Edition as it was included in Narikiri Dungeon X.

Exactly.

Vimms Lair, snes version. Pretty well done translation (there is a gba version as well, but they really screwed that one up). Normally Im against stuff like this, but when its an old game, well, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Does anyone have or know a link to the cross edition that has been translated to English?
I've finished the PS1 translated version and heard they added a new playable character in the PSP version.

There's no english patch for X edition. But since you've already played the PS1 version, you can play X edition in japanese.

Still in development, but they are already hands full on the translation of Tales of Destiny : Director Cut (PS2). They are focusing at translating that game first before continue with NDX. Anyway, website is a0t.co
