Weird Resolution Issue

When I start the game all of the videos are playing as if I were playing on a larger monitor and everything is off center. Is there an ini I can change to fix the resolution so the entry video plays at the correct resolution?

Same here, I can only set the resolution at 720P to avoid this issue.

Can't you set your own settings in the options menu?

try windowed borderless mode it fixed the resolution issue for me. There is problem with fullscreen rendering it at 1080p and 4k.

For those that are running NVIDIA cards are you using DSR? If you are whatever larger resolutions you allow lots of games will default to the largest one and that would be one reason that would happen.

Outside a that a quick fix is ALT+Enter will usually switch it to fullscreen and correctly fill the monitor.

put in proprierts of the .exe (ACS) the box marked "value high PPP" and aplly and work!

How do we change it to window mode if we can't see the options?

in the file Documents\Assassin's Creed Syndicate\AC.ini .. U can set the resolution u want .. the parameters u have to change are DisplayWidth=1280
DisplayHeight=800 .. U can set whatever the resolution u need in this :) .. All the best .. Note: in order to hv those files in documents folder u must at least run the the game once.

Just a small update on @Neal_World comment. Using the same file Documents\Assassin's Creed Syndicate\AC.ini, Just update the value "WindowMode" to be equal to 1, this will fix your issue.

Hi, I was having trouble with the 1080p scaling in fullscreen mode, the game was not centered, I just put the windows scaling at 100% and now my game is correclty displayed in 1920x1080 fullscreen mode (real one, not borderless window) Hope I helped you, have a nice day ;) (sry for my bad english im french)

The issue here was my TV is 4K but reports a higher-than-native (wider) resolution of 4096x2160. The game seemed to render to that resolution, then squash it into 16:9 for display. Quite bizarre. Removing the resolution entirely so the graphics driver no longer sees it as an option fixed it.

The problem also affects Watch Dogs 2 and some other games.
