How close am I until ending ?

this game was fun at first
but "too many" puzzles start to bore me...

How many chapters do this game have?

I get that. Couldn't wait to get out of that area myself. If it can reassure you, you're not exactly done with back-to-back dungeon puzzles, but you've done the most part, and they won't be coming back for a while.

There are 13 chapters (edit : base game only has 10), and I can't really say how long a regular playthrough should take, but for what it's worth, 100% (base game) took me 90 hours. Hope that helps.

i would recommend either doing some side content (or even playing a different game) if the puzzles are wearing you out

The base game has 10 chapters, i believe you are on the eighth. i'd say you have at least 2 hours of main story content, depending on how quickly you make it through puzzles/bosses.

Don't force yourself to complete something though, if you aren't having fun, take a break.

after beating the 3 dungeons of gayas garden you get saffire ridge wich doesnt have a dungeon and then you get to storm the vermillion tower (be warned, vermillion tower is by far the worst in terms of how puzzle heavy it is). after that you get the dlc content wich has a beach area, another puzzle heavy temple and a revisit to vermillion wasteland (not much there after your last visit tough)

he litterally asked what was left untill the ending, so no he doesnt care that much about spoilers. and i havent really given any plot spoilers other then that hes gonna storm vermillion tower, and the only reason i did that was to warn him about how puzzle heavy vermillion tower is since op doesnt like the puzzles. as for the fact that the last area is a beach theme i again doubt that is a very important spoiler that hes gonna care about (its similar to the spoiler that the next area is saphire ridge wich he probably already know at that point sinse sergey does mention that they are close to unlocking it). you are just being nitpicky here

It's an old game and there's literally guides and walkthroughs, not really spoiling a whole lot here
