Controls not working on Steamdeck

I just downloaded the demo for the game since I wanted to try it out before buying it on sale. However, it seems the game doesn't recognise my SteamDeck as a controller. Is this a known issue? I saw the game listed as Playable so assumed it would work with the standard control setup.

Disable or Enable steam input for the game (opposite of whatever you have now)
