A developer responded there saying how it's supposed to work. But in my case, my Steam library hadn't installed the DLC and I had to toggle a checkbox.
DLC is installed (checkbox is toggled).
How do you equip the ninja skin?

It tells you about a tab in the inventory interface for costumes.
Thanks so much! It works now.
I think it would make more sense for this to be an option in the equipment tab rather than the inventory. Of course, we only have one skin atm (unless we get more through just playing the game?), but it just makes more sense.
On that note, it'd be cool if there were more skins. There could be a few that we get from playing the game as a sort of reward for challenges and/or trophies. Considering the resources available to the devs, I'd say two or three at best as rewards for difficult trophies would be neat.
