CrossCode is "still running" after closing the game?

Everytime I exit CrossCode Steam tells me that the game still running, which means I can't open CrossCode again until I restart Steam. Pressing the "X Stop" button does nothing and I can't find CrossCode running in the Task Manager.

I got the same problem and I don't know what to do with it, hope the developers can find this and fix it.
