So, the "get on my level" feature
I get that that's supposed to increase difficulty, but this needs to be properly balanced for the tutorial. I mean, we only have about 600 health (I'm level 63 or so) and every enemy takes a lifetime to kill, not to mention they take a third of your health away with every attack that connects (that's without increased damage multipliers or more aggressive enemies).

This makes going through the Rhombus dungeon tutorial quite the hassle. I had to quit during those three turrets that pop up (that's the second encounter) cuz dealing with them was just too annoying. This isn't quite the difficulty spike I had in mind when I selected that option alone in NG+.

We are aware that "get on my level" is pretty broken right now.

The problem is that enemies scale on your level instead your stats.
However, in the beginning your stats are much lower because you didn't learn skills and don't have any equipment. That's why enemies are way overpowered.

We now plan to change this option so that enemies will scale based on your stat average instead.
That way enemies should always pose a good challenge based on your stats.

That should hopefully make things much more balanced.

We'll work on this right away and with a bit of luck there will be a Hotfix tonight or tomorrow.

Awesome, thanks! All the NG+ features are a great idea, btw. Looking forward to tackling it after the hotfix!

I also noticed that quests aren't scaled to your level. Is this intended?

I think it was horrible in the tutorial until I picked up my equipment and began actually making a difference. Since I carried over equipment, now since my level far exceeds most of my equipment it is a very odd situation to be in. I was hoping to use it to get to level 99, for fun, but that isn't as likely anymore. (If anything, a Slider in the assist tab might be nice, to help adjust how extreme the scaling is.)

Have you ever played a Tales game? In some you can start a new game and put it on the highest difficulty and the first battle will usually consist of a single “tutorial enemy” that would take less than two minutes to beat on a first play through, but suddenly it has +12K hp and you do 1 damage per hit against it. It’s only there for the challenge. If you don’t carry over levels it all ramps just fine and ensures you get consistent amounts of exp. It would get you to level 99 in less time because the exp ramping wouldn’t occur. At least that’s the way it HAS been.

I'm confused. What does any Tales of games have to do with this? What has been what way?

Imagine: get on my level, carry lvl, dont carry gear...

With how currently that mode works it wouldn't be too bad. Since your stats are low, enemies will scale to that and not just to your level value.
