I don't remember Lukas doing all too many dach combat arts though, tbh.
There is a description of each class in the game if you look in the Records.
Heavy amounts of "assault" and "brawler" for me all the way. 8) Screw shields and defense.

Change Apollos Mind
In my game Emilie uses the dash arts more often (shock element dash arts are pretty cool looking), i think tribladers would use melee skills more often (i don't remember, i miss a triblader in my party )
Pentafist: Gap closers, high DPS, multi-hit attacks, lack of AoE. Protects self by locking down the enemy and then using high agility to escape retaliation.
Triblader: More well-rounded stat profile (still slightly more offensive than Spheromancer), wider swing arcs with longer range, spin attacks. Primarily defend themselves via spacing. Weaker to ranged attacks/kiting than pentafists but less vulnerable to melee punishment.
Your AI party members don't really use them, but all classes do have Balls available, and pentafists are supposed to fire the fastest but with the weakest type, while Tribladers throw small blades with no special properties that I'm aware of.
It makes sense, Apollo trying to maximize his efficacy as a Spheromancer. And C'tron, who's a Hexacast. Since there's technically not really 'spell casting' in this game, the equivalent for the Hexacast ability set are all in the different kinds of balls he can throw. He even says something about "homing VRPs" if you are fighting Sharksters with him in your party. To which Lea gives him a dirty look. x3
Also, on my main account, I'm a level 70 Heptalancer. :P
