CrossCode and Alundra
Greetings everyone.

First of all, I'd like to tell ou that I've not finished this wonderful game yet I sill have to win that Vermillion tower and defeat the final boss I guess. So please no spoilers about the end story.

That said, when I was 13-14, Alundra 1 came out on PS1 and I loved it...well... I did... have a hard and a good hard time....I remember going with my dad to a game shop where the guy gave us his soluce book for us to photocopy the complete Alundra guide... A life saver really

And it could be an unforgiving game, trust me if you have played it back then or more recently, don't you think it was a source of inspiration for the developers of Lea...Wait... Crosscode ^^

Because while not unforgiving, these five dungeons (Rhombus Square first dungeon isn"t a real challenge, but beginning with the Bergen's Mine and so on until the end....wow...

And the tower makes no difference it's challenging and sometimes you rage against that annoying line of sight when shooting.... :-p

At least you don't get blocked like in Alundra because you cannot move anything anymore and you realise you messed up somewhere...

That said, I never stopped saying myself : "It's like Alundra, it's like Alundra". Puzzles, shemes, logic of the solution....

And of course I'm always looking for the most complicated way to solve them so I had to check some videos for like ten puzzles in Crosscode while Alundra was a total puzzle from start to end...

What do you think was the other possible sources of inspiration of the developers ?

On another note : do you think they're going to allow the players to play other Crosscode classes ? or was the Spheromancer the most balanced and adaptable class ? I was curious.

Well anyways, If any dev comes by here : "Lea Thanks." for this wonderful game...it has been my weekly game for many time till now and I don't think I'll stop after the first run... I still have to beat those challenges like Defeating Apollo without any lost round or crossing the exit ine of each dungeon before our beloved pentafist ;-)

Alundra is indeed one of the big sources of inspiration. Next to Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger and tons of other games.

Regarding other classes: Unlikely. Keep in mind that CrossCode is not a real MMO but a story based singleplayer RPG.

I would have to say the zelda series must have played a big part. That's another game with puzzle temples and such.
Thanks for the answer.

I know that Croscode is a singleplayer game and it is a gem because of it. You created a huge game , thanks !

I thought about my own question regarding playing other classes, but maybe later (even in a paid expansion if necessary), maybe you could allow us to play them in the strict Arena mode ? Don't know... Well that and allowing us to train them in the different areas...

But before that, keep up the good work with adding what uou think still misses in the game (this is a gem).

You have my full support. My only regret is to not have been one of your backers :-)

Even sounds a bit like Alundra - which made me check if someone else noticed the delightful similarities ( loved loved loved Alundra ! ) - Thank you so much, devs !
I am off to buy this game asap !
And thank you, ブリッジス テウタ

Thanks my friend ! Oh and have fun with this one. I ifnished it three times with one time with the DLC. I truly love this game which is still in my top three favorite games.

Alundra 1 was such a gem. I'd love it to be ported (not remade, just ported with maybe some QoL improvements but not too much)
