I actually feel bad for all the people buying this. I wish I could post a review so people considering purchasing it could read it. There is free software you can download to do this stuff guys. Come on guys. Please don't waste your hard-earned money on this. Do your research.

To everyone complaining: dude it's 3 (!) bucks: just one less coffee from Starbucks or whatever fancy coffee shop.

Look at the forums. Not a single post from anybody complaining that they didn't get what they were expecting for their 2 quid. I, and I'm sure I'm not alone, resent the implication that anyone buying this is a moron who doesn't know any better - I knew exactly what I was paying for, and got exactly what I expected.
it's a gabe May 7, 2015 @ 10:27am
To be fair, I can't imagine other programs that give you a virtual keyboard and cursor sensitivity. And if one person pays $3.00 for the comodity it offers, it sure is way better than Xpadder, which costs $9.99, you have to map everything manually and it has less features. I don't see how this is possibly a scam (you didn't use this word, but you meant it) considering it's one program that offers so much, it could actually cost way more than its original price -- but instead the developer is selling it for a bargain and it's not even at discount. Just saying, is not wise to talk about something you don't know and haven't even tested yet. Reading about the features is one thing. Going through the program and using it yourself is something else entirely different.

This can be done, I just did it,
Keep in mind that F12 binds and takes the screenshot in Steam games, but also the XBOX guide popped up its not overriding the controls intended function, I don't expect it to so its probably not the best choice for the re-bind, maybe a D-pad movement instead would be a better key.

thanks for your help, So I still dont get, what exactly what I want to do, its play my steam games which support xbox controller, and use the guide button to take screenshoots, since that button has no funcion on steam games.

So thats exactly what I want to do

Well, anything is free if you steal it. For us honest people, Xpadder is $9.99. Xpadder is great at what it does, but Xpadder doesn't offer an on-screen virtual keyboard as this app does, and Xpadder doesn't support using the Xbox guide button.

Woah

I got hurt from this even though I'm not the one directed to that answer lol!

I didnt mind paying 3 bucks for it. Xpadder was always a pain in the culo for me, I never could get it to work. Does it feel like I got ripped off? Of course not. I can see if it was a half-assed program with glitches, but it works wonderous. I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Can you be specific about how you got satisfied from this soft?

Literally all as I want to do is bind my guide xbox button to take screenshoots while in game.

I already asked the dev but ignored me. lol

The reason I'm satisfied with my purchase because I did had the idea for a while it would be cool if you could use your game controller as a mouse and keyboard. I was unaware Xpadder lets you do it, but again, that program would never work for me when I tried. I'm just glad I already had a wireless reciever so it was easy to use from the start.

3 bucks ain't bad for something like that, I'd expect devs to charge at least 10 bucks or more. I mostly game using my HDTV via HDMI mode and always getting up, Now I can just launch games and browse the internet without having to sit on my computer chair all the time.

The only thing I wish it had is virtual keyboard switch options. The devs said they are listening to suggestions, so maybe they will take your request into consideration and will add that feature. I'm not into screenshotting games often, but I do support almost any idea that will make the software the best it can be,

I keep laughing when people say Xpadder is free, wich indicates that they just torrent it.
Go bother trolling other people.
chouia May 7, 2015 @ 4:31pm
Old versions of Xpadder are free. (I think.)
And indeed, you can find freewares to to the "same" thing, Controller Companion didn't invent it.

Anyway, the application is definitely the most-user friendly for that. (If not true: give us links! )
So, people who like comfort pay for this, even if there is free options: well done Koga Tech! ;)

Learn to google. I never had to get my old version of xpadder from a torrent / pirate site. The Old versions are free and work pretty well. I'm not saying that this product here is trash or anything, I have not used it. I'm saying there are free alternatives.

From PC World:

"Note: The "Try it for free" button on the Product Information page takes you to the vendor's site, where you can download the latest version of the software. Only the older versions are free."
