Based on my most recent playthrough (all three end game and fully upgraded) however, I think I'd give the title of hardest dream boss to the Failed Champion. The 2 masks of damage is just brutal when combined with not getting soul when you hit him.
TLDR: Soul Tyrant (when you know what your doing) Failed Champion (when your less experienced)
Soul Tyrant was by far the easiest and the most enjoyable of the three encounters for me. I'm not really fond of the dream bosses in general, but the simple additions to one or two of his attacks made him feel a bit more like a remix rather than just a repeat with more damage and less time to react.
Now I just have Trail of the Fool left but I keep getting to the part where it's 3-4 waves of FLYING enemies and you can't land to heal...and die there. I guess I suck at wall fighting.
