Colosseum Shortcut?

I made it to the Colosseum and did the first trial several times. Decided to come back to it later, but I'm having trouble with the shortcut. I exit the Colosseum and run all the way to the left past the bats to the entrance to the City of Tears. I'm right next to the elevator shaft, but see no switch. I jumped down and I don't think it's possible to climb back up. And when I use the elevator it's not taking me to the where I previously was. Am I missing something here lol?

You can climb back up if you use the double jump to get past the first part. That elevator goes to the Resting Grounds. It's not the elevator that goes to Crossroads.

If you don't have the doublejump yet, it's a bit early to be exploring Kingdom's Edge! Come back later, don't worry.

I've already checked out most of the area, but I figured something had to be missing. Guess I'm going to the other areas I walked by. Thanks!

I do suggest poking around in Resting Grounds while you're there, though.

E:You'll need to swing by the mines first, though. Really, Kingdom's Edge is a much, much later area.

I actually did the Resting Grounds before getting to the Colosseum and explored I believe all of it. After getting the key item from it :)

You don't need the double jump. You can climb the left, then crystal dash across, climb the right, crystal dash back, then climb a little further and crystal dash right back across to access the Colosseum of Fools.
