So the game will save at the last bench I rested before the final boss?
alright done it, Hollow Knight was extremely easy
You seem to already unlocked everything in the game, how do I get the other 2 endings?
I think I have explored everything, Im missing a few charms, game completion is 87%
I got half a charm a while ago, Now Im hunting essence im at 1269 currently.
Ending One: Walk into the Black Egg. Fight what you find. Simple as that.
Ending Two: This is where it gets complicated.
- Defeat Hornet in Kingdom's Edge. There's a second fight with her there that's really, really difficult. I recommend not dashing at all during it.
- Get the King's Brand, use it to open the Abyss (Ancient Basin). Go all the way to the bottom, then to the right, use the lighthouse, and then Crystal Heart all the way to the right. Hop in the creepy black pool.
- Go to Queen's Gardens. Talk to the White Lady and get one half of the white charm. To reach her, you'll need to have the Shadow Cloak upgrade you got from hopping in the creepy black pool.
- Get the fully-upgraded Dream Nail. You'll need 1800 Essence. There's something like 2600 in the game. The hard-hitting dream bosses are the best source of this, but they have one heck of a learning curve.
- Go to the White Palace. Get ready for Platforming Hell, a la Super Meat Boy. Get the other half of the white charm. For this area, I recommend Hiveblood and Grubfriend. Tends to save you a lot of backtracking.
- Go back to the Abyss. There's now a loose section of dirt down at the bottom on the corpse pile, at roughly the middle of the shaft floor where you drop down. Desolate Dive the sucker.
- Go through the creepy, creepy (did I mention creepy?) area you find here. Get to the end. You may need to Dream Nail the thing you find at the end to trigger the event you need. Finish the event.
- The shiny white charm is now the spooky black charm, and it doesn't take up charm space anymore. It also does nothing but let you get a different ending. No more free Soul, sorry.
- Head back to the Egg. Talk to Hornet outside.
- Go in and fight the thingy you find. Hornet will intervene. Instead of killing the thingy, Dream Nail it the moment she hops on its head.
- Time for Much Harder Boss. Shape of Unn and Quick Slash really help here. This does count as a "real" boss, so don't use fragile charms unless you're feeling extremely confident. Kill Much Harder Boss.
- Get that sweet, sweet true ending.
Ending Three: When Hornet hops on the thingy, don't use the Dream Nail. Instead, just keep R1-ing (hitting) him like a madman or an Oroboro. This will earn you the bad ending.
Secret Ending Cutscene: Equip the Spore Shroom charm (found in Fungal Wastes), and then Wiki Mr. Mushroom. You'll need to find a plaque and read it, but you can only read it if you have the charm equipped. Then you need to go on a scavenger hunt for a talking mushroom that was designed by Satan's cartographer. I'm not typing out this entire quest because it's awful. This will earn you a cutscene that'll give you nightmares for weeks.
Good luck, skeleton.
