Hollow Knight

Hollow Knight

Statistiche:
Stuff you didn't know about (MAJOR SPOILERS)
So if you've played a lot of this game, you may have noticed that Team Cherry put a ridiculous amount of thought into this game. There is a ton of stuff that is not at all obvious that you may have stumbled upon. I'd like to know about it.

Here's a couple of mine:

Did you know you can give the Grey Mourner's Flower to the Elderbug, instead of delivering it to the grave in Queen's Garden? Yep. He'll be really happy you appreciated all the info he's been handing out.

Did you know that if you equip the Shape of Unn and the Baldur's Shell, you turn into a snail? Shape of Unn + Baldur's Shell + Fungal Shroom = Snail with mushrooms on it.

Ever wonder who fixes all the stuff you break? The Menderbug. Break the roadsign at the bottom of the well bewteen Dirtmouth and the Crossroads, climb back up, then immediately Desolate Dive back down. Rarely you can catch him fixing it. He lives in the hut next to where you found Sly.

OMFG I’M DEFINITLY GONNA REPLAY THE GAME JUST TO GIVE HIM THE FLOWER. I missed out on a lot of happy endings, including the Happy Couple. I saw it all on YouTube but I wanna see it myself :)
The grey mourner will just give you another flower after you give one to the Elderbug, right? Does she have something special to say?

Yes.

Okay, how about this. After beating the Dung Defender and getting Isma's Tear, go back to where you fought him and wait a few seconds. He'll come up out of the ground and apologize for attacking you. Now here's where it get's interesting. Leave, and come back a while later. He won't reappear a second time. But ground pound the area directly beneath the water valve, and it will lead to his sleeping chamber, where you can find find statues he's made of the The King, and what are presumably the False Knight (before he was false), Isma, the unnamed corpse guarding the White Lady, and someone else. He'll even mumble Isma's name in his sleep. This makes me strongly suspect that a dream version of the Dung Defender is one of the two upcoming new super bosses in the July update.

In fact, if you wear the Defender's Crest when you talk to the White Lady, she confirms that he was an old friend of hers, almost certainly one of the Five Knights.

UPDATE: The "unnamed" corpse is Dyrna. Don't know why I forgot this. The White Lady refers to her by name, unaware she's even dead. Also, the False Knight's real name is Hegemol. You find this out during the "happy couple" achievement, where Sheo and the Nailsmith are making models of the Knights. And finally, the last Knight, Ze'Mer is almost certainly the Grey Mourner. She has a huge nail sitting next to her, and if you possess the King's Brand she mentions having been in service to the King. Plus she strongly resembles one of the Dung Defender's statues.

Actually, after defeating the Failed Champion it's implied that the False Knight isn't really Hegemol, but rather that he stole the armor from/killed Hegemol in his sleep in order to protect the other maggots. That's why he's called the False Knight.
Did you know that:

Regarding to charms:

-Shape of unn+quick focus=turbo slug
-Defenders crest+sporeshroom=♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
-Defenders crest+glowing womb: volatile stinking little flies

-If you equip hiveblood the bees in the hive will no longer attack you.

Regarding to details:

-If you kill menderbug his house near the one where sly is opens and you can read his diary

-If you break the things on the shrine of believers the moth at the entrance tells you you musntnt have done that.

-You can get the dreamnail before anytging else and hit false knight and hornet with it. You just need to collect 1800 geo and save sly wothout killing false knight, open the door with the lumafly lantern to crystal peak and fall into the resting grounds.

-You can skip the false knights fight, theres a breakable wall at the left over the closed door that you can break and escape, and get to the other side where the shaman is; so you get the vengeful spirit without killing the false knight.

-You can see the ultimate destiny of tiso, his corpse can be found on the kingdoms edge.

-If you find cloth on the ancient basin after defeating traitor lord she goes to dirtmouth and tells you she is just leaving the kingdom for other challenges, so she lives.

-in the lifeblood cavern on the abyss where lifeblood core is, you can see a giant beasts eyes glowing in the background.

-theres a hotspring on the colosseum of fools with a gladiator resting on it; if you attack on the water, it will splash and he will cover his head with the arms.

-if you dreamnail the bug that is in the chamber where lurien the watcher rests you will learn that he was supposed to take care of him before he was infected.

-theres a hallownest seal on kings station, over the spiky ceiling, you need to bounce on it to access the broken wall

-instead of pushing: "ascend" you can climb up on the well to dirtmouth and you will find a hallownest seal, you will also be able to go to dirtmouth that way.

-brettas diary has actually 3 different stories for the main character and 2 for zote, if you enter again you may check again the diary to see if it has another story, also be careful because most people just skip the other stories bevause they think they are the same than the first.

-going with the void heart to the white lady triggers a new dialogue that hints that maybe you have been tarnished as the first hollow knight was.

You also need a Simple Key, I don't recall if there is one to be found in Crossroads but if you have to purchase it that's an extra 950 Geo you need to grind.

You can only do this once, subsequent visits to the Boss Arena will not allow you to break the barrier open which means you'll be forced to fight him.

To break the Left door while you and the boss are on the upper platform you must wound the boss until the first time he smashes the ground in a frenzy, position yourself against the Left door and attack upwards.

I was just about to post this. Found this out yesterday while trying to figure out how to get to that one grub in the Hive.
If you wail on the training dummy behind Nailmaster Oro's hut long enough, a couple of Great Hoppers will drop from the ceiling.

There's a Hunter's entry for Void Tendrils. In the Abyss, right before where you get the Shade Cloak, there's a spot where you can wall jump up through the ceiling. This leads to a room overlooking the lake of void, and a mural of the Void Tendrils.
Many, many enemies and NPCs in the game have unique dream nail dialogue. A lot of it hasn't been recorded yet. For example, the insect in the False Knight's mace has dream nail dialogue.

The dream nail info for most of the dream warriors indicates that they were killed by the machinations of the Radiance, which twisted their dreams or deceived them for its own ends.

Mister Mushroom's dialogue appears to indicate that he's speaking to other NPCs throughout the world, but exactly who he's speaking to is unclear for most of them.

You sure about that? I believe the guys responsible for the wiki datamined all the dialogue from the game files directly.

It looks like they've posted a lot of it in the interim since I was last on the wiki, though some stuff is still missing.

Well, here's another. There's a hidden room with a big, unique sign in the ceiling of the Tower of love. There's a similar hidden room with a big sign in the weaver's den.
Ultima modifica da Finale; 24 lug 2017, ore 13:50
I saw the one in the Weaver's Den. Had no idea there was one in the Tower of Love.
Beyond Mr. Mushroom, there are several lore tablets in the fungal wastes (and the core in fungal core) that can only be read with the spore charm.
It takes a bit of effort to update the wiki while retaining reasonable page formatting.
