What are some good Charm combos?

What are some really effective Charm combos that you have come up with? I'd like some advice ...like what is a good combo for boss fights and what is a good combo for general exploring and fighting normal enemies?

Also, how many Charm Slots can you eventually get?

You can get up to ten charm slots :)

My fave combo was always to take stalwart shell, quick focus, spore mushroom, defenders crest, thorns of agony, grubsong. Doing this you can pretty much just stand in a boss and heal to deal damage whilst losing no health at all :333

You can also use smaller combos of this build like taking quick focus, stalwart, and spore shroom works pretty great

Apart from what Ohnoesorioes said, I find that Hiveblood and Longnail are really good for exploration - Hiveblood especially. If you get low hp you can just stand there and slowly regenerate.

Exploration: Grubsong, Thorns of Agony, Long Nail, quick focus, defender's Crest, compass.

Boss fights, it depends. Stallwart Shell, Quick Slash, grubsong, Quick focus, defender's Crest works for many bosses. Some need a little more finesse.

Hey, thanks for the info, guys. I don't have some of the Charms yet that you are mentioning but hopefully I come across them soon. (Don't yet have ones like Hiveblood, Quick Slash)

Grubberyfly's Elegy + Quick Slash + Fragile Strength

Probably the best combination when just running arround and exploring, feels fairly broken with how much it trivializes most encounters. Great for bosses too just make sure not to die or you will have to get Fragile Strength again.

I loved fragile greed, quick slash and grubberflies elegy. The last one seems to be a mixed back in terms of general consensus but I find myslef hitting enemies at more than double the rate due to increased reach which makes up for the half damage.

For general exploration, I would say something like compass, gathering swarm, longnail/mark of pride, soul catcher, quick slash, and grubsong. For bosses, quick focus, shape of unn, quick slash, nailmasters glory, grubsong, longnail/mark of pride, and stalwart shell can all work well on most bosses.

*That's it, because most of these charm combos break the game in half. I prefer to keep some challenge. Using any of these charm combos against a boss is basically equivalent to giving up and skipping it.

Try using Glowing Womb, Defender's Crest and Dream Wielder and see how long you can last using only the Dream Nail. It's hilariously effective

I find Hivesong to be pretty bad, actually, outside the White Palace. You can only recover the single most recently lost health, which is not worth the four notch cost to me.

Baldur Shell would be really good if it actually kept you from getting interrupted while it is being used. Unfortunately, getting hit still interrupts your heal. :(

Similarly, I'd probably use Stalwart Shell more if it also negated knockback from getting hit by enemies, but they can still knock you around.

Quickslash is probably my favorite offensive charm. Being able to swing so quickly makes a huge difference in your damage output, and combined with Mark of Pride it lets you deal with most encounters a lot more quickly and easily.

Shape of Unn + Quick Focus. Instead of causing you you to focus faster, this causes you to move faster while focusing. A LOT faster, like crazy fast.

Keep in mind, the Fragile Charms don't break if you lose during any of the dream refights (Failed Champion, Soul Tyrant, Lost Kin), so you should totally be spamming Quickslash + Fragile Strength, especially against Failed Champion.

Does The Radiance count as a dream fight? You are technically fighting it in a dream...

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it doesn't count as a dream fight, and your fragile charms will break.
