Dodging NKG's uppercut fireballs?
Just stopped playing after fighting this damned boss for four hours straight. I'm able to dodge nearly every single ability perfectly, but the fireballs that NKG summons after his uppercut hit me every single time. I have an idea of what to do when any of his attacks come out, but those fireballs. All I can think to do is stand in place and hope to god they just miss me, which 99% of the time they don't.

When he does the uppercut, move into the space in which nkg vanishes.

You probably already noticed the fireballs are too fast to dodge based on visuals of where they're going, and you have the right idea to just stand still after the uppercut attack. They always come out under exactly the same angle and land in the same position relative to NKG. If they hit you 99% of the time, that means you're pretty consistently in exactly the wrong spot relative to where he disappears; try to be consistently a little further to the left or right than you are now and they'll stop hitting you.

walk into the corners or just shade dash

Stop dashing.

Or, when in doubt,

Descending Dark.

If you have enough Soul that is.

Standing NEXT to where NKG disappears after the uppercut will keep you safe.

It's really not that hard. Once the flames come down, just shadow dash to avoid it.

Don't understand how you couldn't figure that out. People be sleepin' on shadow dash.

There we go, beat that mother ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Thanks for the tips guys, staying under him when he does the uppercut was really helpful to know.

I move towards him afterwards (pretty close to him), and then move away while they fall and avoid it every time.
When he is on the ground walk away from him. If it's upper cut walk/dash out of the way of the dash, release great slash, and stand pretty much still. It's pretty easy to dodge the middle fireball.

Simple rules to make him easy. When on the ground, don't jump until you know for sure its the bat attack, when he is in the air, jump while figuring out which attack it is (and then you can either double jump and land great slash on where he stands up if its his dive kick or double jump towards him and dash slash if its the fire summoning although you gotta watch the timing of the fire pillars).

Easy. Just dash away from him when he spawns on the ground and then you can hit him with free howling abyss.
