Hiveblood + Deep Focus + Grubsong (+ Whatever)
I can't blame people who don't like that the best ending is gated behind the platforming hell that is the White palace, but at least I can say that beyond the initial entrance, there are no monsters for this section. Just focus on the platforming, the timing of the jumps, and take it slow so you can keep healing with the aforementioned charms. If it becomes too hard, watching a few videos wouldn't hurt.
Now if you simply refuse to attempt it on account of disagreeing with the philosophy of the game design, then, I still maintain my position in that I can't blame you for it. I think it's a valid complaint. But I also can't help you much either. You could opt to watch let's plays as a lite alternative, but that will ultimately be your choice.
Complaining about the difficulty of an optional challenge doesn't seem very logical to me.
The entire point of the area is to be extremely challenging. I personally really enjoyed it and it's one of my favorite parts of the game.
It was such a miserable experience!
Telling people to just settle with the bad ending is like telling them to avoid the inverted castle in Symphony of the Night. Nothing about the White Palace is optional (except for the Path of Pain).
I completely agree with all the complaints.
There is a massive difficulty spike for absolutely no reason whatsoever.
You'd expect this kind of stuff inside the Abyss, but not in the King's very own home, and with all those silly nobles around. It is so dissonant and out-of-place, it feels like a kaizo hack done by some random person on the internet, not a talented game designer over at Team Cherry.
I am all for difficult platforming segments, but not like this. There is no justification whatsoever.
It just comes out of nowhere and ruins people's days for no reason, sticking out like a sore thumb in an otherwise expertly-crafted game.
I just beat it btw and no I still don't retract my complaint. The whole experience was misreable, I hope never to go through that again.
What I'm saying is, why do you feel that the developers should model the game around your play style instead of the play style of other players? Making the Kingsoul easier to complete will make the game less enjoyable for some players. So why do you feel that you deserve a more enjoyable experience at the expense of other player's enjoyment?
So I'd advise you to either grab it or equip it, and then profit. I'd probably have gone mad in the White Palace if it hadn't been for this charm
