Hollow Knight 1.0.2.8 live on public beta. Mac and Linux available!
1.0.2.8 is now live on beta branch, which contains some bug fixes, improvements and also includes builds for both Mac and Linux for testing.

When selecting a beta branch, you'll see the following options and choose the correct one for your system:

Windows PC: public-beta
MAC OSX: beta-osx-
Linux: beta-linux-

French is also included as a language option, currently also in beta. Note that some symbols in French are showing up as squares because of missing glyphs in the font. We're aware of this and will get it fixed up in next patch.

As always, if you encounter a bug, please submit it through to http://hollowknight.com/bugs

Patch Notes:

- Additional Optimisation
- Fixed issue where Failed Champion dealt incorrect damage after being stunned
- Improved performance in some targeted scenes, for lower end machines.
- Made Quickmap double-tap shortcut easier to register and made it work while sitting at benches
- Fixed issue where trigger for Zote event could be skipped.

Guys, you broke the game again. Crashes started again when loading. Fix it please.

About two weeks ago there was such a problem, I wrote to you, you fixed it. Now everything does not work again.

Try adding the launch option "-noheap" in Steam. Let us know if that helps.

Can I know what this command turns off? Is this how it affects the game / achievements?

And the last question: in anticipation of the patch while playing with it?

Definitely better performance (perceived) than 1.0.2.6 on Windows, GTX 1070 - seems to be on par with 1.0.1.4 for me. There are still frame-time spikes though, mostly on collision and water collision. I'm attaching a screenshot of MSI afterburner graph - http://imgur.com/a/pemoT

Nice that the Quickmap double-tap shortcut now works while sitting at the bench. :)

Have you guys had chance to take a look at the testing thread on slack? I have added a bit more info about any hitching/bugs I've noticed.

If you go back to Gorb's grave after beating him and smack it with the Dream sword the music will trigger but he won't spawn. I assume that's not intended.

Going back to any warrior grave after the ghost has been beaten and absorbed leaves them empty. Unless you refer to a different problem.

Those orbs stayed there my entire Fool run and made things far more difficult than they should have.. I mean.. I beat it anyway.
But still. Is this intended or not?
