Giant Saurian in Dripstone Cave?
Does this enemy respawn? Or where can I find one who is identical?
I'm trying to do a video on DD and sadly my recording got messed up during the saurian fight, and I really wouldn't want to start all over again ^^;

I doubt it will respawn. That's part of a once-n-done side mission, There are a number of such beasts in BBI that do respawn.

Okay I will have to check BBI in that case.

Once you complete the quest, they will no longer appear. How about starting over from the checkpoint?

I takes 30 minutes to progress to this point from the start (Matter of Myrmidons). You could backup your current save and then either restart using Hard Mode exploit or start a New Game.

30 minutes by only doing main quests or what? At what point does this quest appear? (I did it right after the gryffin fight)

It's unlocked by entering Gran Soren at the end of Off With Its Head (which starts A Matter of Myrmidons).

And yes, you do only the main quest line: The End at the Beginning (if you start a New Game), Harbinger of Destruction, Newly Arisen, Upon a Pawn (probably run through a beach to avoid Reynard), Call of the Arisen, A Rude Awakening, Off With Its Head (and Deep Trouble ofc) and teleport to Cassardis.
Especially a Mage should pull this off in 30 minutes all right (Anodyne allows rushing the burdened ox ad infinitum). Add 5 or so minutes if you start from scratch).

When you're done with this playthrough you enter the so called New Game Plus, and you restart the campaign anyway :)

That happens after killing the final boss, watching the ending and choosing to load a game.

There's a faster way.

Switch to hardmode then back to normal mode. This will reset every quests.
Then you can rush to that exact quest, make your shot and move on.

FYI the entire Gransis questline take around 20 minutes to be completed with the right preparations (stocking all quest items in bank, placing portcrystal at key locations, storing periapts, blast arrows, a maker's finger, etc...).

Ah yeah... it's 20 minutes if you already know every corner of the game and with a max level strider.... I think the world record is around 14 minutes ? maybe even less now.... My own personnal record was slightly below 20 (after 4 attempts).

But you got the idea... it's a game that can sink lot of hours when you're discovering it, taking your time farming in inefficient locations, searching for stuff, testing vocations and skills.... but can be speedruned pretty easily once used to it and with a well build character.

It all depends on what kind of video you're trying to make.... a struggle video showing all the leveling or just a sightseeing one where you dont mind rolling over everything.

Anyway here's the wiki page with the conditions for the appearance of that quest:
https://dragonsdogma.fandom.com/wiki/Deeper_Trouble
- First beat "deep trouble"
- Complete "Off with his head"
- Let one week (game time" pass
- return to cassardis

Though I had cases where the giant saurian didnt appear when I killed all the eggs a bit too fast.... dont do it with a MA using riccochet hunter in the cave.....
