Watergod's Altar: First Floor - Closed Door With A Hollow/Lowering the Water Level

So, I've gotten the lever, killed the cyclops, after clearing out the rest (I'm pretty low level yet, like 12 :D ) and I've looked everywhere...But I can't find a key or rune or whatever for the door with the hollow in it that comes near the start,nor can I find a switch or lever to lower the water level to descend further down in the temple. Any advise? 'cause I'm all outta ideas. I've looked literally everywhere I could.

The cyclops that you killed is supposed to drop a small orb that you fit into a door earlier in the area. After you open that door, you step on a pressure plate to lower the water.

Well...it only dropped an eye orb and I can't seem to fit that into the door.

You need to do a quest to get the item from the cyclops.

You can go around the door, but it requires risky jumping. You have to go through a window on the right side, and then over some water, onto stairs. You might need a staff or daggers to make those jumps.

Thanks for the replies, guys. But I'm further than that by now :P DOMINATING the Watergod's Temple and owning the Dragon. Near the Shadow Fortress.

Nope, I've tried this quest three times now. Each time Ive defeated the cyclops after a hard fight, but where is the key?

It drops from cyclops as ppl say. It's a red orb.
And unless you are blind, or disabled in some similar way, you cannot miss the cutscene that points at it.

Assuming the quest is active, the key should be near its corpse. From what I recall, its corpse will always drop in a certain spot, regardless of where it is killed.
