2. spinning, that's a good trick
3. Carrion can spawn in any area if the conditions are met, and there doesn't have to be anything dead in the same tileset as you (yet)
2. It's not that I don't know how to kill the Ogres, it's just that the lack of space to fight makes it MUCH harder than normal, and since my arisen is female it seems to have a fixation on attacking me rather than my pawns despite my main rapping on her shield.
3. Oof.
On another note I believe carrion is a term for the like, rotting cadavers themselves that scavengers eat?
Elder Ogres like mans, Unelder Ogres like womans.
Also I guess with elderhood comes refined taste? lol.
As for meatless corpses: it's just the stupid mechanics (one of few for spawnig surprises on your head, and not the most reliable) that's all, no logick involved. Can't expect much from a DLC creating B team, right? I mean, they were even able to fck up a Cyclops, how bad at the job one has to be to screw this? ;)
They will eventually change target or launch an attack in the wrong direction (or keep turning around). Doesnt require lot of space to do, just enough to pass at his sides. Take advantage of any of these to hit him with debilitating attacks depending on how long their animation takes, torpor, knock down, sleep.
Then hit the face when it gets knocked down.
But well as you said, this post isnt about asking for advices, it's just about ranting against the game. Have fun with that.
Not sure why you think there need to be a bunch of fictional sapient races (like elves and dwarves, may as well just throw creativity out the window if we do that again), but saurians, and goblins are sapient beings (just primitive), and both have variants that can use magic (saurian sages and goblin shamans). And for that matter magic is a pretty common occurance. I mean, you teleport via stones, half the enemies have some magic-based element, half the classes have magic involved in them somewhere, and also there are giant chimeras, cyclopses, ogres, golems, and hydras in the world, not to mention the forests swarming with hobgoblins, saurians, harpies, ect. So not exactly normal in terms of the real world, but pretty normal in terms of this world.
So yeah, definitely fits high fantasy.
Makes you think Steffen should simply go to magick school instead pursuing some grimoires ;)
Also: so YOU can teleport. Who else? I mean in The Elder Scrolls there are teleport services, and in Gothic there NPC's acknowledge portals and teleport runes - this way we know teleportation is not just the game mechanics, and is commonly used. What about Gransys?
BTW It doesn't matter what percent of enemeis "have some magic-based element", the question is: are they supernatural to the game world. Off the top of my head I'd say Chimera and mages are not supernatural, though I wouldn't be so sure about the former...
And as far as enemies go, I'm pretty sure chimeras, mages, ect are NOT considered supernatural, but were uncommonly seen before the dragon returned. Apparently grigoris return for some reason made most monsters in the region become much more active that prior.
