We are looking for new Alpha Testers!
Before we publicly release the game, we want to be sure players have a great experience. The performance has to be good on systems that meet the requirements, serious bugs and glitches have to be removed, and the gameplay has to be understandable to new players.

To achieve this, we need a significant amount of testers. Good testers:
  • Know what they like and dislike in a videogame
  • Can communicate clearly what is right and wrong with Colony Survival
  • Extensively test all parts of the game, and have time to do this the coming days and weeks
  • Can properly describe bugs and how to repeat them
  • Tell us what parts of the gameplay are unclear, and how to explain them better to new players
  • Can apply some kind of ‘triage’: glitches that are easy to fix with many benefits to players have priority over problems that are hard to improve with small benefits
  • Are discreet: they don’t share videos of the alpha gameplay online

We select good testers by asking you some questions. Answer them clearly and in detail to improve your chances of being selected and receiving a free alpha key! The questions are:

1.) What are your system specifications?
OS/CPU/GPU/RAM

2.) What is your favourite game, and why?

3.) What is the most impressive thing you’ve created in a game?
Your biggest factory in Factorio, a messed up family in the Sims, a guild in WoW? Screenshots are welcome.

Leave a comment with a detailed answer and you’ll receive a PM when you’ve been selected!

Edit May 29: Thanks for all the new responses! We're slowly increasing the amount of testers, don't worry if you haven't heard anything yet!

Win10 / I5 6600K / GTX 1080 / 8 GB

2.) What is your favourite game, and why?

Minecraft, Rising World, Cities Skylines. I really like the creativity on games like minecraft and rising world to make my own creations.

3.) What is the most impressive thing you’ve created in a game?

I like building villages and stuff. Not really into big city's or very big castles.

Windows 10 / i7 6700k / GTX 1080 Ti in a couple of days / 16 GB @ 3000mhz

Full Throttle. One of the simplest and best point and click adventure games ever made. Thanks Lucas.

Lost all the screenshots, but made a huge city with plots to build in Minecraft that took me like 10 hours a day for a whole week to build with some friends in a server i used to host.

Hello there, im from the Netherlands. I mostly play mp games but also have a love for building games in all different kinds and sorts.

1 Gtx 970, i5 6500, 8gb ram, W10.
2 My favourite game, hard question.

I like a wide variety of genres, simulation/building, mmo's, shooters, moba's, rts. My most favourite games are probably: WOW, LOL, CS:GO, CSS, Starcraft, Overwatch, Prison Architect, Minecraft, Stalleris, Steel division, Age of Empires 2 (played this so much, also got the hd version now), 0 A.D. (f2p kind of aoe 2 clone, really good), Rust.

3 Don't have any screenshots, but I did lead some guilds in WOW, got the OS10man achievement for killing the boss in x amount of minutes, was quite the achievement back then. And I made some crazy ♥♥♥♥ in Minecraft, to end up shooting it with lasers haha.
I did build some 800 inmate prisons in prison architect, they did fairly well, although some might have ended up in an absolute bloodbath. And I built some nice bases in Rust :D. Just to name a few things.

I really believe in early access games for developers to get direct feedback on which they can build their game.

Have a good day.

1. Windows 8.1 Pro
AMD FX 8350
GTX 980
32 GB

2. My favorite game is Subnautica, because of how well the early access process has gone for the game. Subnautica began as just an underwater survival game to a game with an amazing and an in depth story. I am part of the Alpha Testing for that game and have had so much fun with it.

3. The best thing I have ever created was a factory in Factorio that took me almost 2 weeks to get working correctly and it was one HUGE line of belts that led to four other trains that dropped on belts that led to my main base. It was insane.

I really love when Early Access games succeed and progress, a great example is subnautica and I would love for this game to take the same path :D :steamhappy:

1. Windows 8.1 Pro
Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 -8GB
Intel i5-4440/12GB

2. My favorite game is I have too many to pick just one but the one that I have played the longest is XCOM Ufo Defense. I love Minecraft, Factorio, 7 Days to Die, Forts, Plants V. Zombies, Astroneer, Prison Architect

3.Any creation that I have made in a game is impressive to me. Underground house in Minecraft, a small but self sustaning base in Factorio, a very defendable base in the original XCOM or an attic base in 7 days to die. Anything that I do well in a game that I hold dear is impressive to me.

I was on the beta test for Particle Fleet Emergence under the name Joe "Devil505" Sides

Thanks for allowing me to even try to help make your game better.

1.Windows 10 pro/ i5/ nvidia 750 ti

2. My favorite game is league of legends because in that game you get better as time passes by . Most of the games give some kind of advantage to players that use real money to buy in game items/boosts etc. In league you can't become good if u buy stuff, you gotta put time and effort into it to achieve something.

3.Automated farms, spawners basically a bunch of automated grinders on a minecraft faction server.
