You're saying 50 enemies, but those are 50 enemies that only attack once per turn, have crappy weapons and abysmal Melee Skill and Defense. So it's not exactly like fighting Raiders armed with Hammers, Flails, Pikes, Crossbows and other nasty weapons plus actual brains to avoid Spearwalls.
When it's only zombies, it's not that bad - you just have to be prepared for a long and exhausting fight. But when a necromancer is on the board, the whole fights is just about trying to get through the horde so you can take the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ down as fast as possible, because like he said he can revive zombies multiple times, make them stronger and can turn fallen bros into zombies.
Like, I remember I had a situation in a quest where after clearing out a undead location, I was asked to also go take down the necromancer - and I was paid extra for that.
Village defense quests are stupid when you're supposed to do multiple fights and don't actually get paid much more than for a regular medium difficulty quest.
Only 2 wounded.
And I confirm that undead enemies instead of human ones is quite common, had three such quests to defend the settlement expecting brigands but got undead instead.
