Mercenary style games

What suggestions do you guys have for other merc style games besides the following

jagged alliance series
mechwarrior series


I really want to play more merc style games but they just aren't available

I played a game on the Playstation 2 years ago. I played a mercenary who was going around Korea I think. I believe it was called Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction. Later I read online they released a sequal for Microsoft Windows called Mercenaries 2: World in Flames or something similar, but I never played it.

I doubt you have a working Playstation 2, but on later Playstations they have a store where you can buy games for previous playstations and download them onto your more modern Playstation and play them? I know they did for PS3. I don't have a PS4.

Check out The Storm Guard. Different type of game, but I liked it for what it was.
Silent Storm series is also excellent.

I have 992 hours in mount and blade and half of that is in cozurs clash of kings mod.
I know about merc world in flames and silent storm
Gonna google jazz the hired guns.....


My next 3 are battlestar galactica at the end of the month even though its not merc....battletech whenever it comes out and and fued in the west or something like that, its on my wishlist, wild west tactical combat.

Mechcommanders were great, if one is into such games at all. Both are available online for free. Plenty of mods too.

But there's a good chance you're already familiar with them. Still worth the mention tho.

Warbanners is going to berelased on steam this autumn, it's mission-based though, so unfortunately no sandbox

I played this game on the ps2 some time ago called Freedom Fighters, it was pretty good

Shadowrun Dragonfall Director's Cut has you as a leader of a team of shadowrunners, who are the same thing as mercenaries. It's a fun game but there's a ending and a limited number of missions to do.
