Not seeing the benefits of an active build?

Everywhere I've read it has said that active builds have significantly more dps than idle ones although I can't agree, the monsters take a split second longer to kill as the crit has to kick in, also I'm not reaching as high a zone as I did with idle.

Are there certain ancients I'm missing? What are some potentially overlooked but crucial active ancients?

You'll hit a wall very quickly using an idle build and will be "forced" to go towards an hybrid or active build to go further. Even though it's idle is very slow, in early game it is viable.

Maybe not ancients, but auto-clickers. With 10+ autoclickers and Juggernaut having the game run for ~1 hour you will certainly see a difference to just idling.

If you want to use an Active build, is not recommended if you don't have at least 2 Auto-clickers (First 2 cost 100 and 150 Rubies) and you already transcend. If you are still on your firsts ascencions or you don't have an Auto-clicker purchased already, keep playing idle until you got enough Rubies for that. Active builds are for Mid-game and futher.

Also you will get to a point where you have enough hero souls to make your skills last ~12hrs to pretty much keep them going forever. With them all energized it makes a big difference.

basically it depends where u put your souls into. at a certain point you will just put all to the same levels (within their scaling bracket). Active will bring you way further than idle (even with an unstacked juggernaut) putting any ancient souls (after transcending) into the idle ancient ist basically wasting souls. you can get them back though. ah and play as u wish
