Offline farming a specific level

With version 0.24 it was possible to farm a specific level when offline. I always farmed the last boss which gave a lot more money than the highest non boss level. Why was it removed?

Because you're supposed to Progress and a few levels beyond said boss you'll be making the same amount of money and more anyways. the next boss you run into will give even more money then the last one and so on. if you wan't to grind a specific boss monster for whatever reason just don't turn the game off, let it run over night or however long you want to grind said boss.

No you didn't, the game always defaulted to the last zone.

The game will always farm the best zone for you to farm, that hasn't changed. The only difference is that it'll also progress you while doing so.

Side note, bosses are a bad idea to farm online because treasure chests will get you way more money, and those don't spawn on boss levels. It's irrelevant for offline because boss zones are treated as normal zones for gold gain.

best zone to farm is never a boss level ,,, a boss level does not spawn treasure chests :P

it was improved. We now have offline progression as well. So you will progress when offline if you are strong enough. When you are not strong enough, you'll start farming the highest zone you could reach.

i woud like to disable offline progress :( Hope this gets possible soon

I would like the option as well. I would never use it of course since there is absolutely no ingame benefit to it, but it would prevent some of the complaints about this. Should be a valid enough reason.

After all, that would be very easy to implement. No need for new options or buttons in the menu. Just saving the current setting of the mode would be enough. Was progression mode active, when the game was saved/closed? If yes, then use offline progression. Was it farm mode? Then use offline farming only. Sometimes people just need to have a choice to learn for themselves, even if one of the options is objectively better in every way.

So you must not have read anything at all in a while, or you are just not thinking it through. That's not catering to the ignorant, giving them what they want or think they want is more or less a side effect. Giving the choice to do the wrong thing enables comparison, you can only learn from mistakes if you are able to make mistakes. Also, that option is already there, it is just not consistently applied when offline. A consistent effect is better than an inconsistent one.
