when to transcend?

I just got the ability to transcend and i want to know when to transcend. i currently get 14 AS for a transcension. how many AS should i get from the transcension before transcending?

I just transcended with 12 Ancient Souls(AS). I did it right after I reached level 300 because I felt it was getting tougher and tougher and very grindy.

I placed 8 AS in Ponyboy and 4 AS in Xyliqil. I believe this setup combined with 'idle' rewarding Ancients will give the most benefits(in terms of HS) in the short-term for a person who just transcended for the first time. But, I didn't use rubies to quik ascent, and so, I'm stuck using the Zombie Auto Clicker to do the hard work manually... manual labor. Currently only reached level 39.

really? I used rubies to quick ascend. took a lot of HS to get libertas though. im at zone 60 atm. i have Xyliqil at lvl 3, Chor'gorloth at lvl 2, Phandoryss at lvl 3, Borb at lvl 2, and Ponyboy at lvl 2.

I'm saving my Rubies to buy one more Auto Clicker to stack with my current one during future transcends.

I'm just starting out, but my rule or guideline is to 1) Ascend shortly after I reach the maximum 25 rubies one is able to collect per world, and 2) Transcent when my Hero Souls gains are becoming difficult.

transcend when gaining one AS more would require the equivalent number of souls as x QA
where x is related to your tolerance to grind. i would personally suggest between 3-5. well, obviously not more than 5, that would be immediat transcend.

3-5 you think? I'm not sure myself but I find myself easily getting at least 8 per transcension without pushing too much. I would say 8-10, though last transcension I was able to net +12, though I did push for the 12th one as I was so close to it anyway.

First transcension I got I think +29, though that was with most progress done before transcension update, so I dunno if that's typical of first transcension or just due to rebalancing factors.

Because each ascension at the end of a transcension takes so long now I tend to trascend if I ascend and the target is more HS than I just earned (assuming it was an ascension where I was hitting the primal bonus cap for thousands of levels), so it would require two ascensions to get one more AS. That tends to be around 12 AS currently.

If your first transcension ever gives you at least 12 ancient souls then transcend. If you are not at that point then it may still be worthwhile transcending but it will just be considerably slower to start powering through.

I personally am at my second transcension. My first ever netted me 33 AS and my second was 11AS. I'm currently preparing to transcend again for around 10-12 AS in the next couple of ascensions.

I think what he's trying to say is that if it takes 3-5 or more ascensions to get the next AS, then you should transcend.

Oh. I found the formula confusing as it involved quick ascensions and X didn't indicate what units of time were used for tolerance.

I would say 3 then, 5 seems to be pushing it (not counting getting the next first AS of course).

Three is probably pushing it. I would do it at two.

Btw, after my first transcendence, I am up to level 114... almost 24 hours.
