If you want a good example of a non Chibi Art Style being used for RPG Maker, look at "Lisa" on the Steam Shop.
Everyone's using the word Mack and the word Chibi from what I saw...
Mack sized is just saying you want bigger sprites (where they technically are, you just want them taller by either 2-3 tiles instead of being 1 tile high in proportion with the tilesets)
Are there taller sprits available then? Perhaps a XP to MV conversion?
Really not all that keen on having to resize all the assets myself which includes what will come in the future in season pass and the like. I can only guess how much effor that would be and it sure sounds like a lot.
You wouldn't have to see their facial expressions when the dialogue box has their faces (portraits) too in much bigger size xD
thx for the info btw.

However I'm still not sure exactly what they are saying. When I read the -Characters part
:: The size for a character image can be changed freely (normally 48x48), and consist of 4 directions (down, left, right, up) and 3 patterns for a total of 12 patterns that will be arranged in the provided order. A file for 1 character will be arranged into 2 rows and 4 columns equaling 8 images. The size of the character will be calculated using 1/12 of the width and 1/8 of the height of this file. Moreover, characters will be shown 6 pixels above tile so that they appear more natural when on top of buildings.
Can someone explain the math they are trying to explain here better? I want to know how to change it so the characters take up 2x1 of the tiles that already exist.
How do I make sure when I put a tileset image into the editor it interprets the position of the characters images in the tileset properly?
I'll be drawing my own characters as well.
Also seeing as the games/finished products have a fixed resolution, what resolution can each of my characters images be?
Yes this is what I want to know. How do I go about making the editor recognize my tileset to have the images for the chacter be 2x1 tall
But from what I was reading there is a limit correct? To how many images one character can have? Can this be altered so that one character can have many different combinations of looks?
And one more thing. Can I achieve a battle system that looks like this? With Javascript?

^^ Not just talking about the tactical battle system but how when 1 character engages an enemy it changes screens to show from a somewhat side/third person view as the combat action commences and counter attacks can happen etc. Like it shows at 1:50-2:00 in that video
As long as the character file is formatted correctly the program does this automatically.
You haven't even bothered to look into the example character sets the program came with, have you?
