Child Generator
Okay so I made my opening, the world, my first villages, adult npcs, events, then I'm like "Okay, time to start adding children."....... I can only make 1 child? Okay I'll go buy dlc.... nothing... search online.... a few clothes items... so that leaves me wondering. Are you guys ever going to add children stuff or make a dlc atleast? Anyone know anywhere that has kids stuff for comercial use with proper credits? I don't understand why this didn't come standard with the game... maybe there's information about this somewhere I over looked? :MaterialGirl_expression2:

season pass - the fourth installment was a bunch of clothes and face items for that. Have not seen if you can get the fourth installment of the season pass by itself yet. I have the whole thing so I'm sure about the content at least.

Tell me about it, the Child Generator was among the most disappointing aspects of MV, an aspect that actually made me mad because it broke all previous generator files, meaning I had to personally fix them all because a new feature that was basically unusable without DLC came out. I'm usually pretty lax about these things but that just made me angry.

That helps, but the generator is still left to be desired, sadly. Theirs something about the portion between the eyes and forehead that looks odd.

Theirs a repository of generator parts. Should be of use.

If you're patient enough, you can try to make kid-like characters in the default generators, but it often looks a little uncanny. Kid-like faces with very "adult" clothing and incredibly thick necks remind me of those memes where people make kids super buff ("Buff Riku" for example) but it can work. Mostly for the teenager-young adult age frame though. Making characters that look like little girls is much easier though.

Thanks for the information guys, I may just purchase the season pass. I agree, I mean how hard could it of been for them to make at least 4 of each category (yes even the aged face... could make dwarfs):foxhime_liya2:, that alone is a few hundred diff possibilities.

The child generator broke all your previous generator files? How? I mean... Did you replace parts? I think you did something wrong, mate. You're mad at the software, but I think the fault has been yours.

When it was initially added (I'd guess it's been fixed for a while now), attempting to load a settings file made in a version with only Male and Female generator categories caused a crash because it couldn't find the Kid settings.

So this was a general issue? I never had this problem. Lucky!! :steamhappy:

There was an update that fixed the problem in question, but it didn't come out right away so those of us who had the season pass kid stuff earlier had to do a file mod (cut paste code piece) to make the generator stuff we had created previous to the update accessible still. Its fixed now.

I realized I worded it poorly in hindsight, sorry. It broke the .json files that house the configurations. I tend to make a lot of .json files so I can keep a basic design and edit it to perfect it. Each .json file had to be edited afterwards to fix the child generator add ons.

It was a pain inserting the code into the right place cause I had 2-3 projects on ther go at the time.. Glad there was a fix made at that time and even more glad that those who get the program and DLC now don't have that issue. I do wish that the child DLC stuff could be sold apart from the season pass so people know it is out there. Plus there are 2-3 character generator DLCs out there but nothing for more kid items beyond the year old plus one we already have. I'm not looking for free stuff - I would pay for more kid stuff if they came out with it.

I went and checked all the DLC and it says I can buy each peace in the season pass separately but I didn't see anything about child gen stuffs.

The description claims that at some point the four DLCs will be made available separately, but as far as I know (due to poor sales, I think?) that has not happened...
