MM1 Pause-glitch = removed?
When I first bought this game the glitch was fully exploitable.
But I noticed a month back that they've removed it from the PS4 and Steam-versions now.

Or is it just me having this problem? :/

The challenges can't be dealt with without this glitch.

Oh, come on...Real men doesn't need pause glitches.

Works for me. If you're using an X360 controller, Select is mapped to LB

But good luck doing the buster-only challenges, the select trick won't do you any good!

What is the select trick?

In MegaMan 1, and *ONLY* 1, the game has two pause options. The start button opens the weapons menu, but the select button actually pauses the on-screen action.

When you pause with the select button, enemies' invincibility frames continue counting. So if you have a shot in their hit-box, then select-pause the game, after a second or two they won't be invincible anymore. But your shot will still be in their hit-box. So as soon as you unpause, they take damage again.

So, shoot at an enemy, and the moment the shot hits them, start pausing and unpausing over and over again with the select button. Do it right and you can one-shot-kill certain bosses.

Again, this is only in MegaMan 1. 2 through 5 don't have this trick.

Oh, sorta like the grenades in Blaster Master. That only worked on every other boss though.

If you count on glitches to play your games you are doing it wrong. You must like Melee best.

It just you, worked for me.

Capcom and the devs dont think that way, even in challenge mode they are allowed (but I wanted a toggle in the main game and an achiviement for beating mega man 1 without the start trick).

Just played it today
Did it on Yellow Devil; maybe your execution is off

I got it done in the end.
I think I used the wrong pause-type. :P

Works fine to me, not sure what the problem could be.

Yeah, and all those damn Street Fighter players doing combos are just scrubs that can't win without their glitches. Grow up, kid.

What do combos have to do with anything? How is a combo abusing a glitch?

I thought it was established combos indeed were a glitch in Street Fighter II The World Warrior, as much as they ended up a major piece to its runaway success.

Once and maybe only once during the first MM1 challenge the button stopped working on my 360 controller and maybe also the keyboard. I forget if I restarted the challenge or if it started accepting the input again, but the game just ignored the input for several minutes in one go.

GTA started off as a glitch as well.

I guess GTA's huge success was all wrong this whole time.
