Any perceived imbalance is because you are used to so few women. =P

And two, is being warlike masculine? My ex girlfriends would disagree, as would I come to think of it.
The lore states that the woman have dominion over land and men have dominion over sea. This intrinsically puts men at a disadvantage if all land is owned by women. Secondly, 2 of 6 companions are male, the rest are female. 2 of these women are all hyper masculine/violent, 1 of them is what I would describe as the wet dream of feminazis and 1 is an actual normal female adventurer who is smart, clever, and possesses inner strength. Men in positions of power are almost portrayed as completely imbalanced or otherwise nuts except for one in lethian's crossing. Let's call him the token leader. All female leaders portrayed in this game are, in a few words, pretty legit leaders. Except for the one in lethian's crossing who committed murder on her lesbian spouse. Let's just call Lethian's crossing Token, at this point.
what the heck is "behaving womanly" ? wearing pink (short) dresses and playing the boring old "damsel in distress"-scheme?
tbh. i find it quite annyoin and repulsive to read someone complaining he doesn't have enough potential devoted brides in a game...but that doesn't refer to this specific thread.
Claiming that woman are somehow more "together"-portraied in this game is also quite funny...Verse, Kills-in-Shadow and well even Eb would like to have a word with you dear Averagedog.
How is this even an issue? Jesus Christ.
You and your people can ♥♥♥♥ right off with the thought policing. People are allowed to take issue with what they want. Keep the fascism to the political echo chambers.
People are allowed to take issue with public statements other people make on the internet as well, you know. Accusing someone of thought policing while simultaneously trying to silence them is a hilarious amount of hypocrisy.
Edit: What I'm trying to say is argue with the message, not with the messenger.
You don't actually understand fascism, twerp.
This thread. smh
OP: Tyranny has a *truly* gender-equal society, and this is going to naturally jump out at us as jarring specifically in terms of the female characters because it's in such contrast to our own world (e.g. women getting paid 20% less than men on average, less women in political office, in military, in executive leadership in general, etc, etc, etc).
Women in Tyranny's world may or may not have a slight edge because they can own land, (although the men own the waters, and there's more ocean in the world than land). But in terms of career selection, promotion, etc, there are no gender biases, no prejudices in the world Kyros rules. He/she demands it. If one is effective at what they're doing, it's recognized, and what is or isn't hanging between one's legs isn't considered relevant in any aspect of the context.
Other than the 2 men vs 4 women companion imbalance, among the NPC cast of the world there really isn't actually a clear lean toward women in terms of power. Indeed, all but one of the known Archons are men, and the one female is the weakest of them.
It would be interesting for a game that paints itself as evil to have you interact with a patriarchal power structure. But Obsidian-Paradox erred on the side of caution
