I was assuming that maybe piercing weapons would do the trick but eh, I just lowered the difficulty.
Do the magic talents no longer buff weapons or something?
Or do you mean the volcanic nerf?
Edit: Ah, you mean the "can only have 1 buff from" nerf, I take it?
weapon buffs broke the game beyond believe
i currently play solo on Path of the Damned and haven't had trouble with them so far ... my tactic:
- full duelist build
- onehanded sword (for piercing damage)
- abilities: Thrust, Sunder, Hundred Fists, Whirlwind Strike
- buffs: Mirror Image, Spectral Blur, Vampiric Weapon
- engage as many melee attackers as possible
- high parry and deflect minimize hits
- riposte and Vampiric Weapon keeps your health full
- focus on the Resolute Blades, other enemies kill themself thanks to riposte
- if you take a big hit use a healing potion
- use Warrior's Respite when your buffs end but your spells are still on cooldown
Yeah, I'm pretty bummed that I never got to play around w/ 2-hander Ripostes, personally, as an agile defender wielding a greatsword is my favorite (and generally non-existent) archetype.
