I am not really following. Is betraying alliance necessary to side with the Oathbreakers (or as you say Rebels)? Or is it against siding with them? I want to side with them right now so I want to do the option which leads to that.
I don't want to go Anarchy, I want to go rebels
To side with rebels you need to have level 1 or 2 loyalty ( dont know exactly how much ) in the end of act 1 and then their boss will recognize you as a "fair judge" and you get an opportunity to side with them. If you didnt let rebel captains escape i dont think it is possible to get that high.
I already met with rebels and they swore their loyalty to me. So I kinda feel like I already have that.
So Betray alliance means "betraying the Disfavored to assist the Chorus"?
not quite this. In war tent you made first major decision, if you picked Ashe over voices, you can't assist Chorus no more, if you "betray" ashe later you went anarchy path declaring yourself out of their conflict or join with rebels.
Okay so "Betray Alliance" helps me join the rebels?
Well if you have an option to side with Rebels in the end of act 1, yes you basically betraying all other factions. if you play path of damned i'd recommend to get wraith with disfavored level 5 to sever Ashe aegis if you go against them.
In order to join the Rebels, you have to have enough favor for the option to present itself at the end of act 1. In order to do so, be nice to them in Conquest and spare them whenever possible. The rebel route feels intentionally hidden, personally. All the other routes are explicitly chosen at some point, whereas you can be the game 3 times and not know the rebel route exists.
Ignore the Disfavoured assault preparations, leave their camp and go for the Ascension Hall, as earlier discussed with the rebels.
Are you sure there are options with rebels in conquest? I didnt sweep through it completely, but from what i saw it was disfavored/chorus decisions.
For me helping rebels doesnt make much sense in terms of gameplay, it looks like random let them go for no reason.
Yes I ran through the entire assault and discovered that there were no options to ally with them. But when I choose Lie, it lets me join the Rebels BEFORE assault and help defend.
